  • This is my second time through it. The local town's 5k is at the end of may, but I'll be done with the program around the time of yours. I found out that the my main problem with leaving the couch was that I was bored. There was no victory. I bought comfortable shoes, and worked hard on getting a good music playlist going…
  • Just re-calibrated. Went to the football field and ran 100 yards in 66 steps, twice. Actually 65.5 and 66. I took the 66 because I was more tired. Trying to get the real stride length. I'm just nervous that my average walking stride is more like 36 inches, and my running stride is 55.
  • My honest answer is in the news feed. You chose people as friends who either have your best interest in mind, or have the same viewpoints as you. You have basically filtered out the people whose opinion matter most.
  • yeah android doesn't do that yet. I'm sure it will come soon enough
  • The ingredients can't be bad. They don't add anything into their tomatoes or lettuce, or even chicken. What I did notice is that the flour products, tortillas, chips, and tacos are double the calories as the meal itself. Like everyone said, your best bet is the bowl skipping all the fatty stuff (sour cream, cheese,…
  • Mexican food is not terrible for you, but you have to be careful. I think the fajitas are the best (minus the tortilla).
  • First that is a crash diet, probably drinking nothing but water, which is unhealthy, unsafe, and dangerous. Remember 1lb of fat is 3500 calories, so 25lbs is 87,500 calories. If you burn 2,000 calories in a day that is 45 days at the least. You may lose a big number your first week based on water weight.
  • I finished Insanity last year. I probably should have never started it because it is INTENSE (hence the insanity). I'm never going to say no, but be ready for a commitment. This isn't a "I'll skip today because I'm busy," but rather, sorry I can't do [insert activity] because I'm doing insanity. I actually wrote a post…
  • Swimming will do it all. Cardio - Just swim, freestyle for full body, breast stroke for arms, backstroke for legs. Resistance - Swim, don't kick, or wear extra clothing for the resistance
  • My friend is in the same boat. He gained weight by drinking a gallon of milk a day. I can't vouch for the healthiness of it. I was afraid he was going to develop a lactose intolerance. He never did but I've heard this method before
  • Click on the community tab than look for signature (above the first post)
  • Use it as a starting point. I did couch to 5k and finished the program with a 5k.
  • In settings you can add a signature that will allow you to put your goals. What I like to do is put the goals, especially when you started in your profile Feel free to add me for support
  • I'm at the gym Monday - Friday. I get sad on the weekends that I can't (relaxing the muscles) get to the gym.
  • Remember MFP takes into account the deficit. Going over means that you didn't lose the appropriate amount of calories for that day. So if you went OVER 500 calories, and assuming 1lb a week, then you ate your "maintaining calories." You won't lose weight for that day. To answer your question, don't kill yourself for that…
  • Looking at your diary says a lot of quick add calories. That doesn't track carbs, fat, sodium, and other nutrients. It isn't just about calories. Eating 100 whole grain calories is much better for you than 100 white flour calories. Who knows you could have had a ton of sodium and that is retaining water. My first…
  • The problem with Franks Red Hot is that it isn't hot enough. It is only a suggestion.
