My free trainer at the Y told me that heavy lifting would make me bulky. I told her that was silly and it's what I want really to do. She showed me all these high rep/low weight things that didn't even make me sore. I finally signed up for an Olympic weightlifting program that is scaled for where I am and he pushes me WAY…

I am 44, 5'5" and looking to lose about 60. I lost down to about 178 1.5 years ago, my lowest since 2006, and have crept back up to 209. I can't stand it. I'm counting calories (eating based on Scooby's TDEE), avoiding foods that tend to trigger cravings for me (mainly sugar and wheat) and doing weightlifting/crossfit.…

I've crept up over 200 - my goal is around 145. My mini-goal is 195 and then I'll go from there. :)

I just started exercising (Crossfit/lifting) and that happened to me after my first few classes. It was an awful feeling, I can totally relate! I googled it but never found anything much. I was also under a lot of pressure at work the last week or two. So far this week it hasn't happened but it's a better week at work too.…

I joined CF last week and will go to my third class on Tuesday. I love, love it. I resisted the koolaid for a long time (my 68 year old father goes and drives me nuts "suggesting" that I go too) but finally tried and got hooked immediately I was so sore after the first day since I'm pretty out of shape, I could barely…

I work out on my lunch breaks - the gym is close enough to the office that it works OK. However, busy season is coming and I may start working out right after I drop the kids off at school, before I get to the office and can't get away from desk.

I remember something called my virtual model at some online stores - maybe Land's End? You could make a model of yourself and try on clothes... but that's been years ago, not sure what is around now.

I was around 115-120 in my teens and early 20s - 140s in my late 20s and early 30s with occasional visits to the 150s. By my mid-30s I had somehow landed in the upper 180s. I had my first baby, and was happy to find I lost all my baby weight plus 25 lbs, down to the 160s. When I quit pumping at work after his first…

I love my Cabernet. (I'm curious, Sabine_Stroehm, did the month off make a difference?)

I haven't read it yet - but it's on my list. My kids are crazy picky eaters. I may grab it sooner than planned since it sounds like it may be an interesting read from several perspectives...

You look fabulous!! Way to go!

Same here, when I lost about 20 lbs a few years ago I still had a daily glass. However - agree with above that it's hard to stick to one glass and also hard to eyeball the measurements. I've decided to cut it out altogether except for weekends for the time being. Well, when this bottle is done, that is. :)

I just started yesterday, and found this thread this evening. Count me in! I haven't taken measurements but will try to do so tomorrow. I am sort of hobbling around the house after day 2 - love it!
