Sigh...the numbers on the scale just keep going higher and higher... :( but, for the next 7 days, i'm going to commit myself to not quitting. it seems like in this battle, every time i get discouraged, i dig myself into a deeper hole. so, for the next 7 days, i'm going to recommit myself to my goal of being healthy and i'm…

If I could change one part of my body (and I only had to choose one part), it would definitely be my stomach. It gets smaller as I lose weight but, one day, I'd really like some nicely sculpted abs.

I missed yesterday's question. I have a hard time keeping up with these threads...(It's not like facebook where I get a notification when something new is posted). It's really crazy because at my highest weight ever I was 372+ lbs. I've been blessed with height (6'3) and a pretty high muscle mass so, I tend to be able to…

Week 1, Day 1 is here and by the end of this challenge, I will be at least 15lbs lighter. :) I didn't have my measuring tape with me when I entered my weight but, i'll be sure to get my measurements entered. My schedule for this week - Monday - Friday - 1 hour of coaching middle school basketball M, W, F, - 90 minutes…

I agree with the other folks here. Maybe you aren't eating enough AND maybe you're getting too much sodium from your diet. Another thing that might help is a heart rate monitor (if you aren't using that already) it will give you a better gauge of how many calories you need and are burning. :) Kmeekhof gives some great…

Whatever you do, it has to be a lifestyle adjustment and not just a temporary fix. By only dieting/exercising for a short period of time it's like putting tape on a leaky faucet - it'll hold for a little while but then, the mess to clean up will be larger in the end. Whatever you decide to aim for, I'm sure you'll be…

Yay! I love it that there are so many other tall ladies. A lot of time, I find myself the only one...particularly in my journey to weight loss. And, a lot of people do not realize that things work a bit differently in a tall woman's body. For instance, at my highest weight, I was 372 lbs - everyone estimated me at over 200…

26 here, 63 lbs more to go!

Push ups (with modified hand positioning - diamond, wide stance, closer in, at an incline (feet on a stair, etc)), pull ups/chin ups, sit ups, tricep/chair dips, squat thrusters, jumping squats, clapping push ups, *burpees* - there are tons of things you can do to strength train without equipment. Many people also believe…

I agree with everyone here. You need a good balance of both and you need to constantly surprise your body otherwise, it's able to adapt and then you find yourself on a plateau. :) Keep up the solid work and keep moving in whichever way you find you enjoy the most! At the end of the day, you have to do exercises you'll…

don't beat yourself up about it. each day is another chance to start over keeping all of the lessons we've learned so far in mind. :) You'll do awesome today! :)

Things are always easier said than done but, I always remember this one quote. "If someone can't be there and support you at your "worst," they don't deserve you at your best."

I'm so impatient myself when it comes to wanting to lose weight. But, the best thing I've ever heard from someone is that the weight didn't get here overnight so, we can't expect it to fall off overnight. Also, you look awesome! And, the less weight you have to lose, the harder it is to get those really big numbers without…
