  • Please add me - ljmiller11 Graduated in December. Been off the wagon for 2 weeks. Looking for support & motivation to keep pushing on easy for my wedding in April
  • This is exactly how I feel. In fact, we are similar in weight too. My SW was 157lbs, I'm now 133lbs and I'd love to get to 126lbs. However, I also miss the carefree me, going out for dinner with my BF, the occasional Chinese just because it's Friday and enjoying a glass of wine and full fat cheese & onion dip & chips with…
  • I am reading this topic with interest as I am confused as to why so many of you need to be on a calorie counting website if you find it so hard to eat enough food?? Surely, your love of food (or too much of it) is what bought you here so why all of a sudden have you lost your appetities? I eat between 1,500 and 1,600 daily…
  • Thanks all. I think you're right, I just need reassurance that I'm doing all this for a reason and not just banging my head against a wall! I'm hoping my new fitness challenge - 'Insanity' will be the push I need to shift a couple more pounds and tighten up a little more. Then the hard work starts when it comes to…
  • Sorry, that did sound confusing! I am happy to a point, I look better in my clothes and feel fitter but I am not 100% happy as I feel I could do with losing a few more pounds and toning up my love handles and squishy tummy area! I just think it is really hard to stay motivated to get rid of those last few 'vanity' pounds…
  • Hi! I am also a Jillian fan and have been doing 30DS, Ripped in 30 plus No More Trouble zones & Boost metabolism, burn fat since Xmas. I was finding they were becoming a little less challenging and I wasn't pushing myself as I knew what was coming up etc... so I bought Insanity. Today is Day 4 and so far, I am doing OK. I…
  • I don't have any advice as I have just ordered it for myself. I'll be starting on the 1st of May. Add me if you like :) Good luck!
  • Hi Nicole, I just wanted to post to say I totally feel your pain. I don't care what people say, even though I eat a good amount of protein, eat eggs most days, eat loads of fruit and veggies and drink lots of water, I am also ALWAYS hungry! I eat 1,500 cals a day, sometimes more when I've worked out, 90% of which is good,…
  • • Gender: Female • Age: 25 • Starting weight: 154lbs • Current weight: 135lbs • Goal weight: 133 lbs • What are your reasons for wanting to lose weight? - To improve my overall health, feel good when I look in the mirror & in a bikini and be able to buy size 10 jeans again :) • Tell me a bit about your past… - I have…
  • Firstly, well done on those first 4 lbs, thats great! Yes, you should keep in mind what percentage of carbs/fats and proteins you are taking in as a good balance of all 3 will help you in your weight loss goals later down the line when losing slows down plus by balancing these, you are ensuring you are eating a healthy,…
  • I hid the scale on the 28th of February and so far, I have not weighed in. Yay me :blushing: I was weighing once a week and getting fed up with seeing things like 0.2lbs lost. It has NOT been easy and some days, I have wanted to weigh in so bad. Instead I have taken my measurements at the midway point (was down 2.5 inches…
  • Wow, there are a lot of VERY low goal weights being thrown around here! Don't forget, men like curves ladies, it's not all about weight, it's about shape  In saying that, I am 25, female in UK: Highest weight 154 lb Current weight 141 lb Lowest weight 130 lbs Goal weight 137 lb & toned! Good luck everyone x
  • So yesterday I forced myself to eat a mixture of nuts and seeds & tonight I am having thai curry made with coconut milk and guess what, my macros are now where they should be. Thanks all for your suggestions. Will be using them all I'm sure!
  • Jillians Michaels all the way! I did 30 day shred and lost 10lbs and inches :) I also love her 'No more trouble zones' DVD. I can burn 350 cals in 50 mins and I can definitely see if changing my body shape. Plus, she really motivates me and manages to keep me going when I wanna give up! You can't go wrong with Jillian. Tae…
  • Thank you all for your tips. I eat stir fry a lot so I will definitely be buying some sesame/coconut oil to try with that and am even tempted to buy some different kinds of nuts to sample. Maybe I should just force myself to eat them, after all, I'd only need a few! I have always used skimmed milk and low fat yoghurts…
  • Thanks all. I do love cheese so maybe I should introduce it back into my diet without thinking of it as 'bad'. I will also stop worrying about cooking with oil or adding butter to my jacket potato. Hopefully this will all help. Thanks!
  • Stir fry! I LOVE stirfry and it's so good for you, cheap and easy! I use about 100gms of chicken per person with a whole bag of stirfry veg (only about 50 cals for a huge portion) with some light soy sauce or low cal sweet chilli sauce for flavour. If i am feeling hungry, I add some fine rice noodles which only add about…
  • Thanks so much for this info, I will be upping my cals from 1,400 to 1,600 as recommended. One little question, why do I enter my current weight where it says goal weight?? Help! Thanks :) x
  • Thanks! Yes, it is just vanity now but hey, even if I don't lose the weight, if i look good in my jeans and I'm making healthy choices I'm happy :) Stress is a diets worst enemy as it causes the body to release a chemical that makes us hold on to weight. Therefore, I have just chosen to take a more relaxed attitude and…
  • Hi there, Sounds like a good plan to me. I am also doing no scale March as I only have 10lbs to lose (currently 142lbs) and so seeing a lose of 0.2lbs or even nothing each week has been demotivating me! I know I am eating really well and exercising 5 times a week or more so I have decided to give the scales a rest and use…
  • I found myself feeling like this too and so I have set myself a challenge. No weighing at all in March! I know it's going to be so hard to do but I'm up for the challenge and I'm sick of being down when the scale shows a tiny loss or nothing at all. Feel free to add me as a friend if you fancy joining in on the challenge.…
  • Yay, that's great! Pleased to have you on board :) I weighed in this morning and then surrendered my scale to my boyfriend who is under strict instructions to not let me have it back no matter what I offer him in return! It's going to be tough to not weigh but I'm up for the challenge and know it will be so much nicer when…
  • I don't know if it is normal or not but I have found the same. I guess it is just the less youbut in, the less comes out! I've recently started taking a fibre supplement called Benefibre which seems to be helping with bloating. Maybe you could try something similar but I wouldn't worry too much unless you start getting any…
  • I find this sometimes too. I eat a lot more calories than you though. I can easily eat 1,600, it's just on days where I work out a lot that I find it hard to eat back my calories without reaching for the ice cream! I don't like nuts at all so this doesn't work and advocado is not really for me unless it's guacamole on…
  • Hi, I'll be your friend. It's good to have friends on here as it makes you more aware of what your eating etc if someone else can see you diary :) Perhaps you should consider opening your diary to being public, that way there's no hiding! I'm 25 will about 7lbs to lose, 10lbs in an ideal world! Let's do this x
  • Oh yes, I've been there! When I have a craving for fast food or cake/chocolate etc... I input it into MFP first as that tends to put me off eating it when I can see the calorie damage! It is also worth remember how long it takes to burn those pesky calories. I'm sure there is no damage done and a lesson well learned. Next…
  • Prezzo and Chiquitos mexican. They also do a low cal menu, great if you love mexican like me! Just don't look at the dessert menu :)
  • Thanks for all your suggestions. In the end I went for a recipe that was healthier than normal but also yummy! I used 150gms of low fat butter, two table spoons of golden syrup, 200gms porridge oats, 30gms dried apricots, 30gms dried apple & raspberry and then covered in a little dark chocolate for added flavour. It was…
  • Yes, I plan to eat half my excercise calories back to allow for any miscalculate burns as I don't have a heart rate monitor yet. I think you're right, a big amount of my current loss will be water and so that's why I want to get this right now so I can progress as I want to. I just find the opinions on these forums so…
