It is accurate for me. I have been here for 9 months and had few slow periods but I had average loss of 3 - 3.5 kg a month.

You are doing just fine. Don't worry about her. Your metabolism won't slow down because of 100 kcal. If that was true we wouldn't have anorectics still losing weight. Congrats on your progress so far! You are doing it right

To be specific: 1. Kitchen safe for treats with timer lock 2. Limiting the exposure to foods I could possibly overeat 3. Cooking at home 4. Food scales 5. 30 g of sweets everyday keeps me sane and I don't feel deprived 6. 'End of overeating' - nice book about psychological aspects of being overweight

so true, cheers :drinker:

OP had the surgery.

I went shopping after I lost 10 kg (22 lbs). Big shop. However, half a year later none of them fit anymore - none. So buy something, just to make yourself feel better but remember that you will lose much more. I wish I didn't spend so much money at my first size drop.

Buy a scale. Get mentally ready for the first reading, which could be not what you expect. You are strong enough. From this first weight in your scale will measure your progress. Simple. Effective. Good luck :)

It really helps. I set my lock to open in the morning when my willpower is the strongest, take one portion of treat out and lock it for next 24 hrs. And I save it for late nite. Works for me so far :)

I got mine from here http://www.thekitchensafe.com

My strategy is always to limit exposure to fat and sugary food. I have my treats only in the evening - the last thing I eat before I brush my teeth. It helps, as whole day I know the treat is there, waiting for me so I don't really look for anything else. I lock my treats in the container with time lock ( love it!) so one…

Don't drink your calories - learn to develop habits, which will last you a lifetime.

I wouldn't like to drink my calories. Chewing and texture of food are fun !

Mine is kind of boring but also kind of awesome: I have not had a cold or a flue in 9 months! I use to get 3-4 colds a season before - not this winter! Btw, I am from Australia so our winter just finished.

Being able not just to fit in the plane seat but to be able to curl up in it - legs on the seat, next to my bum :). I've seen skinny people do it. Flight to Europe from Australia is 22 - 24 hrs so I would love to be comfortable finally !

Same! I use to hate it. Now I eat salmon every day.

Maybe reorganising your weekends would help? If the lifestyle change is what you going for..Its very individual how everyone spends their weekends. I try for them not to be food oriented. That said - family gatherings are always a bit of a problem - you cant expect everyone to change their habits just because you had. All…

I eat chocolate cake (30g) everyday. I log it and its within my caloric intake. I can not imagine denying myself my favourite foods. So I don't do cheat days as I don't need to however I fully understand where you coming from. Too much restriction can lead to binge attack or even worst - complete reverse of your progress…

Hi all! I am on track. Funny days for me as weight goes up and down but it looks like the overall trend is downwards. Looking forward to next weight in as I will be most likely entering the zone of 73 kg, which I haven't seen in 10 years :)

I could easily do 8000. I could eat a cake on my own. 2 dinners - no problem. Coke in litres. How sad.

No - we are not going to take our negative comments elsewhere. Its upsetting that every day people who don't bother reading and researching how to make healthy lifestyle changes come up with challenges like this. Do what you want with your body but don't encourage others to do the same. You have a great opportunity here to…

Same here - joining late and just wanted ti say hi to everyone.I am 39 yo from Sydney, Australia. I have joined mfp in January when I have started getting in shape. I was a slim person until my 30s, when I have experienced my first weight gain. I went up to 94 kg but only for a year and managed to lose it on Atkins diet…

My daily cal goal is 1200 kcal. I do not exercise other than 1hr walks 5 times a week. As I have a very sedentary lifestyle (Uni and desk job) I do not eat any calories back. It has been working well so far for me in a form of steady weight loss so for the moment I am not changing anything. In December after my semester at…

So inspiring NSV's here. As for me - I have realised today that I do not own a single item of clothing, which isn't too big on me. i've spend half a day going through my wardrobe and boxes in the garage, pulling things out and trying them on just to conclude that there is nothing there which would have a nice fit on me.…
