Sell your old clothes on ebay. Then you can buy clothes that fit with the money! That's what I've been doing and I've been pleasantly surprised to find people will pay actual money for my old clothes!

Great job, well done! Envious of your flat tummy! Would you mind sharing your stats? Starting/Current Weight and how long it took?
-
Wow such a difference, you look great! Well done! My starting weight was similar to yours but I'm about 15lbs away from where you are now!. Hoe long did it take you? What was your regime?

Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress, you're right that everyone here is cheering you on for how far you've come, truly amazing. So pleased you finally have closure from your old job and awful boss as well. Really pleased things are getting better for you, and I'm sure it will only continue X

Favourite MFP post I've ever seen. Possibly my favourite post on the whole interweb.
-
Aw thanks. If I'd been consistent from day one I'd be on like day 400 so we all have our blips along the way!

As others have said already you can still enjoy the junky foods, as long as it's logged and within your calories. For me this meant adjusting my choices, opting for smaller portions etc. Good example is that Dominoes do a personal size pizza which is 400-500 calories depending on toppings instead of the 1000s I used to…

Make room in your calorie allowance. I have chocolate every evening by doing this. If you're out of calories today but really desperately need it then go out and get some and either accept you're over for one day, no biggie or log it as tomorrow mornings breakfast.
-
I log everyday, today is my 290th day. Well done on your progress so far I'll add you

Oops LOL I read this on my mobile phone so it looked like you were quoting me  Hopefully this can be one of the very rare drama free threads!

Nope. Never claimed to. I speak only on behalf of myself.

I've done my research on BMR and follow that as a guideline. I'm short and inactive and I lose a steady 0.5-1lbs a week and it's worked for 10 months. Nothing unhealthy about it.

I'm in, I started around 1450 but as I've lost weight I've had to reduce to 1350ish to avoid plateauing. Can't cope with any lower!

I'm in. 35lbs down, 20lbs to go! Congrats on your amazing loss! Oh and your screen name. I love star trek B)

Less chub rub, yes please. An actual gap? I can't even imagine, don't aspire to have one. Too breezy.

I like to sleep through breakfast whenever possible. Dinner is always my biggest meal as it's when I'm hungriest. I also like to have room for evening snacks or I get grouchy. Nocturnal problems
-
Sounds like me, glad I'm not the only one! Gosh I'm a little envious of those that lost 20lbs in a few short weeks/months but hey ho, it's not a race and we got there in the end!

For what it's worth I think you're being a decent friend by showing concern and asking for the communities thoughts, that is what its here for. I'm worried about a family members eating habits at the moment (extremely restricted diet <800 per day, excessive laxative use, possible ED, very thin) so I know how it feels to be…

That people outside of MFP really just DO NOT GET IT Constantly trying to explain to friends or family how this really works. As in calorie counting, perseverance, commitment, support. Not stupid fad diets, pills, crash diets or starving themselves. It's like you join MFP, start reading the forums and absorbing all of…

Wow you can really see the difference! Well done and thanks for sharing!
-
Well done! You've lost a huge amount and should be really proud!

Congrats on your hard work, you look great! I love your dress in the last picture too!

Ha I know right! Probably weddings, holidays, suddenly having to contemplate wearing a swimsuit or bikini in public! I've got a wedding coming up this July, so I started getting serious last July. Even a year may not be long enough to lose over 50lbs!
-
Sorry about your break up. Don't let it derail your amazing progress though, 40lbs is a lot to lose, well done! My advice would be to try and keep busy, if you've got friends and family nearby, reach out to them for support. If you can/want to, get dressed up and have a girls night, blow off some steam, flaunt your 40lbs…

It's taken me 9 months to lose 35lbs and it will probably take another 6 months to lose the other 21lbs (56lbs total) Some lose quicker than this, but for me slow and steady is working and it might just stay off this time. Set yourself smaller, achievable goals and you'll soon get into the swing of things!

It's difficult to see changes in yourself. I have this issue. You've done an awesome job losing that weight, you just need to see it! As others have said look at photos from when you started and I'm sure you'll see a difference. I also found this body visualizer website, you plug in your height, age, weight and…

I would opt for something like vodka, soda & lime But after a few of those I'd get led astray and have shots and cocktails. Have fun!

Love handles, had them even as a slim teen. I remember looking at friends with none at all and then looking ay myself like wtf is this?! Oh and CELLULITE! What is the actual point?! If I was millionaire I would get the treatment the celebrities have to remove it! And one last thing, I've always carried fat around my knees,…

Amazing! Well done for your hard work. Thanks for telling your story, very inspiring

Hey you can really see the difference! I've got definite butt envy
