I grew up on peanut butter & pickle sandwiches, also peanut butter & bacon sandwiches. Yum. I love some of the recipes in this thread - thanks!

Brandolin11 - that sounds so good! Tonight was very basic - 4oz chicken breast seasoned with Mrs Dash's lemon pepper seasoning and grilled on my George Foreman, fresh steamed green beans and some black beans. And last night was Skinny Taste's orange chicken and some brown rice.

Your cookies sound good, Larro. My dinner was rather boring tonight and definitely not photogenic. Boneless, skinless chicken breast grilled on my George Foreman, brown rice and leftover seared & baked cabbage.

Black pepper crusted corned beef and seared baked cabbage drizzled with a balsamic reduction ~ Happy St. Patrick's Day! And a green Corona Light 'cuz it's all I have :drinker:

Excellent - I try very hard to plan mine the night before so I pack my breakfast, lunch & snacks. It really helps me stay on the right path. And congrats on already losing some weight.

Maybe make it all green? Lettuce, kale, sugar snap peas, cucumber, avocado, cilantro (kinda like little shamrocks....kinda), broccoli and slices of kiwi? For dessert, sugar free green jello!

Before working on getting fit and losing weight, it was cheese. And pho. OMG, I love pho but I'm also working to keep my sodium intake down and pho is pretty high in sodium. Crap. Now I'm gonna have to work it in to my meal plan this coming week. :ohwell:

LOL!!! **The LOL comment was because I thought I was replying to the person who said they had wine for dinner after spending time with their mother. Sorry - I'll get the hang of this.

My current fav is this recipe for turkey stuffed bell peppers. It uses red instead of green and they're so much better. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2008/11/turkey-stuffed-peppers-45-pts.html

Ugh, me too!! Let's all encourage each other and possibly get some food ideas from each other. If you don't mind having another friend on here to help with this journey, I'd love it if you guys would "friend" me. Let's do this!!

Right there with you Christin. Logging food makes a huge difference for me because I feel so much more in control.

LOL, obviously I can't follow instructions either. Kept doing it wrong but finally got it. Thanks for your help. Kathy

Dinner last night was roasted sweet potatoes and a grilled pineapple chunk topped turkey burger. Burger is lean ground turkey, fresh minced garlic, minced jalapeno, grated carrot, grated fresh ginger, chopped green onion and a squeeze of hoisin sauce. I am obviously quite technically challenged because I can't figure out…

Hmmm. Attempting to figure this out.

I've been looking for a place to jump in and find a place to start getting involved on this message board and it looks like I've found it! This is so my style....I just love food pics, seeing what others make and eat and of course, taking my own pics. But I don't know how to post pics on here. Can anyone offer some help?

Such an inspiration ~ good work!!

I'm really curios to know if you've ventured out yet and tried anything. I've been putting zuchinni, yellow squash, onions, bell peppers and asparagus on my BBQ grill for a few years now. But my foray in to roasted veggies in my oven was through a very basic recipe from Ina Garten from the Food Network:…

Have you tried roasting your vegetables? It honestly changes them up and you might be surprised. I've never been a huge fan of cooked veggies either but I've found that roasting them in my oven has turned me in to a fan of even brussels sprouts.
