Vanilla Coke Zero is my diet staple. Delicious stuff.

Some people are sensitive to artificial sweeteners. Some are not.

She already said it was 1200 calories and not whatever that counterweight thing is. Yes, drinking calories instead of eating them is pointless and needlessly over complicates what should be simple: eat less calories.
-
You didn't lose weight on 1200 calories of solids because you weren't logging accurately and instead were eating more. Drinking calories does not differ from eating them, but anyway, this isn't VLCD anyway, it's just...pointless and complicated.

Okay. You don't track calories "because that's no way to live," yet wonder why you're not losing fat? You think it's impossible to overeat on "clean" food? You think you're 100 pounds but haven't weighed yourself in a long while? You think starvation mode is a thing, that our bodies somehow magically retain fat in a…

The phrase "you can't outrun a bad diet" actually means it's hard to burn as many calories as you intake, for example eating a spaghetti dinner and then running for fifteen minutes and expecting to burn it all off. Has nothing to do with the nutritional content of the food, or at least that's what I've always taken from it.

Watch the above video, OP. Extra calories add up, and you saying you're hoping it's a metabolism disorder leads me to think that underestimating is probably the culprit.
-
Eat clean? No thanks.

At your weight, a pound a week is the most you should lose. You'll realistically lose about 24 pounds.

I was baffled when this first started happening to me. I eventually discovered that when I eat specific foods - such as shrimp - and then exercise vigorously/sweat, I first experience severe abdominal cramps, then hives (which are small and abundant all over my body and large on my face, lymph nodes and neck), a burning…

There aren't any free PT sessions at your gym? Mine has two free sessions, and I used those to get him to watch and correct my form, that way I could lift on my own and not have to pay a dime.
-
It's recommended that you take rest days. Even though you don't feel sore, your body still needs some sort of break. I only do Stronglifts three days a week and do other, lighter weighted exercises on off days, just so I don't burn myself out. I'm still new to lifting so more knowledgable posters are out there, but I just…

The OP doesn't have to worry about sugar coming from anywhere.
-
There's nothing wrong with making a thread about low cal alternatives to pasta, OP, but please don't try to sell them off as "healthier."
-
Strange. All of your symptoms point to not getting enough nutrients, but you don't gain weight in a calorie deficit.
-
I agree with the above, but I've tried that before and had a slew of salespeople jump down my throat or just delete my messages. Remember, she's profiting from it so she's unlikely to "see the light" any time soon.

Ummmm no.

Water intoxication is a very real thing and it can lead to death. Don't drink so much.

Sugar doesn't go into fat storage. Extra calories do.

I live close to ATL and will be there for AWA! I'm excited. :)
-
I know you said you've been doing strength training already, but why not look into picking up a heavy weight program such as Stronglifts? Also, eating clean isn't necessary and soda won't hurt you or your progress, but if it makes you feel better, more power to ya.

It's been a helpful and productive day, for sure.

Someone should find the video about two meals looking similar but having way higher counts, or about weighing vs measuring. I would, but I'm on my phone. :(
-
Thanks all! I did lift tonight and felt no soreness out of the ordinary. Tomorrow may be a different story, but at least I won't have to lift then. :)
-
I have an early morning weight class two days a week, and I usually jump on the treadmill for a while afterward. I have lots of online things to keep me busy, so I play on my phone while walking. It makes time go by faster and I don't have to worry about bumping into things.

Food scales cost less then $20.

Quest bars have become a staple in my diet. Such a yummy treat to have so much protein.
-
Honestly, I had a little bit of soreness on my neck when I first started lifting, even though I held the bar in the correct position. I think it's something your body adjusts to (like cycling and butt pain) as long as you have good form.

If it makes you feel better, last week I got wrecked on Fireball and lifted the next day.
