When I started out I didn't know if I'd be able to lose 100 pounds but I did know I could try my best every day and that I wouldn't quit. As of this week I've lost 98 pounds (in 18 months). You can do this too!!

Here is a MFP blog by a dietitian I found that helped me figure out what I felt was best for me and my approach. http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/ask-the-dietitian-should-i-eat-back-my-exercise-calories/

I only eat mine back if I feel like I need it, which is rare as I feel my workouts are moderate and usually only 30-40 minutes max. Here is an article I found helpful on the topic. http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/ask-the-dietitian-should-i-eat-back-my-exercise-calories/

I get where you are coming from. I've recently started lurking on the maintenance boards to learn what I can in preparation for maintenance phase. I don't know if the statistic is true but they say the chances of losing weight and keeping it off for 5 years is only 5%. That's kind of scary! I know from personal experience…

I've been in your shoes. I was always on a diet it seemed, starting and stopping, never really getting anywhere really. Till about a year and a half ago when I decided to finally just get serious. I have lost 97 pounds in that time and I have about 25 more to go to get to goal. Feel free to add me if you'd like!

You can add me if you'd like. I have been on this losing journey for about a year and a half and I have lost 97 pounds so far. I have 25 more pounds to get to my goal weight. I'd be happy to support you on your journey but I'd be the first to tell you too that you are all you need to lose weight. Encouragement from friends…

Feel free to add me. I've lost 97 pounds in the last 18 months and have about 25 more to go to get to goal.

I started out at 296 and I am currently 201. I went from a size 24 to a size 16 currently (I cant get 14's on but they are still too tight for comfort) My ultimate goal weight is 170 for my height and frame. I have tried to stick with the same brand of clothing the whole way through this process just so things would stay…

Since you have so little lose to get to goal of course it'll come of slower. (I think we all know that but we don't like it just the same! I am with you on that one!) I have lost 95 pounds, but still have 20 or so to get to goal. In the beginning it was great seeing monthly totals of 10 or more pounds! However that is not…

That is awesome!! You look great!

That is pretty funny of your husband, hiding the batteries. Feel free to add me as a friend! I have been doing this for a little over a year (close to a year and a half now) and I have lost 95 pounds! I still want to lose at least 20 more.

Such an amazing accomplishment!! Way to go!!

You look fabulous!!

For me, slimfast is the epitome of why "diets" and gimmicks don't work for lasting weight loss. My mother was always doing slim fast. When she was "on a diet" she'd drink the meal replacement shakes and follow their program and she always shed the pounds so easily. But then when she got tired of the drinks and went back to…

I go by the method, a calorie is a calorie and it doesn't matter when you consume it. I like to keep things simple like that. So in the example you gave if I was actually hungry and had calories left for the day I would eat something. If I wasn't hungry, then I wouldn't worry about it either.

I have lost 95 pounds (over the past 17 months) mostly just walking outside or on my treadmill. I have bad knees and can't handle the impact of running so the fastest I go is a brisk walk! I started out doing 10-20 minutes and now I do 30-40 minutes 3 or 4 times a week. Nothing too crazy there. We do have a gym membership,…

1. What was your starting weight and height? 296 and I am 5' 8" 2. What is your current weight/goal weight? Current weight 201 GOAL weight 169 3. How long did it take you to reach your goal? I have lost 95 pounds, started the end of 2015. 4. Did you feel different, mentally? e.g. did you have more confidence or did you…

Don't let PMS give you a free pass to over eat. I struggle with PMS cravings as well. Over the course of the last year it's gotten a little easier, but I still have some days that are worse then others. I refuse to be weaker then a food craving though.... as hard as it is, I'd rather spend the day fighting the craving then…

I did Weight Watchers back in 2006 when they had the Flex Program. I don't do weekly flex points or anything like that now with MFP. However I do allow myself one "splurge" meal a month. One meal a month where I can eat whatever I like without having to worry about what the calories are. Usually it's a meal out with my…

I've lost 95 pounds (I have 34 to go to get to goal) and I could NEVER have done it living on that kind of diet! My advice would be to follow what MFP suggests, that is what I did. I started out getting something like 1630 calories a day. When I first started believe you me, I needed every single calorie MFP allowed me.…

I'm 5' 8" I currently eat around 1250 calories a day w/ one higher calorie day a week (usually Friday or Saturday) and I have lost 90 pounds. ETA: I started out getting 1610 calories a week.

It's my profile picture. I just got sick of wishing. I had to start doing. I have lost 68 pounds since January and I have about 40 more to go to get to my ultimate goal.

I am 45 pounds down and just now really starting to feel thinner. I hadn't thought I looked all that different though till I looked at a picture at my heaviest, it was very obvious then that I had lost weight. I still have another 60 or so to go though so...

That is really awesome!

My son is Aiden, not necessarily after Aidan from Sex and the City, but that is where I fell in love with the name... and maybe the character too. ;)

That is incredible! Great job!!

I think like every other aspect of weight loss, it's probably going to be different per person. For me I am sure it'd make no difference whatsoever but for others maybe. :)
