Soda provides a lot of entertainment, no doubt. The fizz, the sugar, the caffeine, the bright shiny containers. That's how the corporations hook ya! Like Satan in a way, one might say.

I'm a Mightymorph, like those power rangers but mightier.

When I'm done sobbing and gnashing my teeth, I run to my 2 best friends for sweet consolation: Ben and Jerry!

You can't eat a wrench! But if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.

That's when the zombies eat your brains instead of your flesh.

There are a lot of weird things in the world that are completely out of our control, like some of the peculiar things others choose to believe. I don't lose any sleep over it, and I don't argue about it on the internet.

I already can't keep snacks in my house. If I kept snacks in my car, I'd never stop eating!

Lucky Charms are magically delicious, but it's the blackest of magic and profoundly evil in nature.

I like the Marie Callender dinners, they're not super healthy but they're reasonable, usually 400-500 calories, and you get decent portion sizes which is my big complaint with the diet brands. My favorite MC dinner is the Herb Roasted chicken. I also like the Chicken Alfredo Bake. They're all pretty good and way higher…

First off, you're doing great losing 10 pounds in 6 weeks, way to go. If you're really hungry all the time at 1450 calories, sure try eating a little more, see what happens. You're in control.

I'd say it took my body 3 or 4 weeks to get used to going without food for 16 hours at a time. I was definitely hungry at times, although what is hunger anyway. Mostly a social construct perhaps, at least what we call hunger in this culture of abundance. Anyway, IF got easier for me after 3-4 weeks. I don't do it…

It sounds like your real problem is the obsession, the unnecessary stress you're attaching to this process, not the scale. The stress is counter-productive obviously, and if the scale is adding to the stress, ditch the scale for awhile.

I take the boos and turn them into cheers!

Claire, sometimes I also get mad at myself when I eat too much. I view losing weight as an ongoing negotiation between my body and my mind. There will be ups and downs as the two parties go at it, but my mind will always have a better bargaining position because it gets the final say.

Anybody who says that hasn't tasted my delicious hair shirt soup! The secret ingredient is tough-love.

At least you haven't peaked! Without geography, you're nowhere.

A piece of lightly buttered garlic toast for 120ish calories is my go-to carby bedtime make-me-sleepy snack, tried and true.

I'll weigh in on the side of using the food scale! That's the only way to really know how much you're eating, also it's a lot of fun. No really, it is.

Those cons you listed for logging are pretty much non-existent. Calories count, you can count on that!

They say you gotta stay hungry Hey baby, I'm just about starving tonight! -Bruce Springsteen, noted weight loss authority I get crazy hungry too, especially late at night when I can't sleep. I try to fend off the pangs with carby snacks around 200 calories or so, then concentrate on distracting myself before I eat more.

I give them to my hungry friends.

The first rule of Cheat Day is that there are no rules. That would be cheating.

Any dieter worth his/her salt will often be over on sodium. Probably not a big deal unless you have specific medical problems.
