I "save" them for another day and if I never use them, it's an extra oomph in my deficit.2

I'm still at the point where I don't feel like I need to be eating back my exercise calories, and I prelog my day so that I'm meeting my protein goal and I tend to plan right up to my 1650 limit. Sometimes the day gets away from me and I'm too busy to eat the snacks I planned/brought with me. When that happens I save the snacks for another day and add something to dinner. Generally I just adjust portion size of what I was already going to eat, like last night I was able to double my portions of refried beans and sour cream for taco salad night and was super satisfied. I'm trying my best not to use empty calories but I know I will give in to special occasions from time to time. It's just easier not to have chocolate or ice cream on hand, and I don't drink alcohol on work nights. I'm summation, when I have extra calories I either have a little more dinner or just let them be/not worry about eating them.0

But seriously, if I don't feel like eating why would I stuff my face. MFP whines at me once in a while for not "eating enough calories" but I see no reason not to ignore it.4 -
It depends on how hungry I am. If I'm feeling satisfied, I quit eating. If I'm hungry, I look to see what I'm missing and fill the void. It also depends on time of day. After 8? I go hungry.0

I get a headache if I go much under my calories, so I'd probably have a little ice cream or something.0

If I'm not hungry I'll bank them for the weekend. If I'm still hungry, I find snacks to fill the amount that I have left without going over. Some favorites of mine are Halo Top Ice cream, Fudgcicles, fruit with whipped cream, or some chocolate!0

Do not understand the logic.
Also, if having a piece of chocolate when I have calories left prevents me from going way over two days later because I'm going to binge on chocolate because I restricted myself too much, it's a pretty good trade off.0 -

It's 340 calories, let it go. You don't have to eat right up to the 0-calories-left mark every day. In fact, given the inherent inaccuracies involved in counting calories, that's a very good way to put yourself into a surplus without realizing it.0

I wasn't so much worrying about eating the leftover calories. I never eat right up to zero, what I was really wondering is when you have a chunk of cals left but only space in sugar/carb macro spots.0

'Space"? You know you don't have to eat EXACTLY to your percentages. I try to get in the protein primarily. Carbs if I need it (long bike ride / workout coming up). Otherwise I don't worry about it. If you are hungry, then eat what you want.1 -
If hungry, I eat. If not, I bank it for the future. I will eat them eventually. Some days I do a lot of exercise so have extra calories, but on the days I don't do as much, I can eat over my calories without worrying about it. Having excess calories left over is only a problem if it is consistently way too low and if you are ignoring hunger signals.0

Eating per want and not need is usually what got people here in the first place.

I know it's extra calories. What I get at is the strategy to do with them.
I would save them for a need that likely comes soon. It always does. Eating just because I want, have extra lying around, is a bad strategy.0
