As with any physician, you should expect them to practice evidence based medicine...be that allopathic, naturopathic, chiropractic, whatever. In response to the 'special energies' statement above, I don't know of a single naturopath that uses "special energies" to heal people. They simply look holistically at a person and…

One of my best friends is an ND and she is fantastic. My grandfather was an ND. I also roomed wtih two ND students while I was in college. Like the others said, they take the time to get to the root cause of the problem, not just covering up the symptoms. Most have 8- 10 years of school under their belts. My friend is on…

I looked at your food diary and most of the entries are “quick calories”. You might try actually logging every single thing you eat individually. It takes a little more time, but it really holds you accountable. Also, make sure you are eating most of your calories in fresh veggies and fruit, grains and proteins (I call it…

I second that. Every body is different, but your doctor can certainly tell you what is healthy for YOU. Best wishes.

:drinker: Fantastic post. A good reminder for us all. Life shouldn't be about guilt and denial. But keeping it all in check and perpective is essential to long term success. Three cheers to you!!

I take a 1/2 cup of Silk Chocolate soy milk and freeze it. Yummy treat with only 70 calories.

Like some of the posts above, I would really analyze what you are eating beforehand and after...refueling is important. You could be low on iron as well. I read that low iron makes you tired with exercise.....instead of feeling good afterward. Just a thought. Good luck to you.

Great job! You look fantastic!

And good luck to you too! Seems like a great online community for support and motivation!!

I am not sure about grinding fresh vs. preground. Just know that it has to be ground or you don't digest it. It takes literally 20 seconds to do it, so I just do it fresh everyday.

Every morning I make one.......I use 1 medium banana, 2 cups spinach (or a handful of kale), 1 TBSP flax seed (freshly ground in a coffe grinder), 1/2 apple (or 1/2 cup frozen berries); Add as much water as you need to make it the consistency you like. I sometimes add a scoop of protein powder as well. DELICIOUS!!
