I agree with above, they are great with any kind of sauce, The texture to me is similar to that of a canned mushroom, a little chewy but well worth the low cal count. I buy mine (shiratake noodle) at Meijer, they come in angel hair spaghetti and fettucini.

I agree completely, 500 calories allow for a lot of food. Heck 4 oz's of chicken breast is only 120, you can pair that with a nice side salad, vegetables, even a serving of brown rice.

I find them in the refrigerated section with the wonton wraps. Also there is another version that have -0- calories, they are made by Miracle Noodle.com I order them on line, these do not have tofu in them.

You are absoluely right they are awesome. I find the angel hair pasta the best. Have tried the fetticini, rotini and regular spaghetti, they are a bit more chewy. I made a wonderful Lasagna using zuccini and yellow squash instead of noodles, sliced length wise and sauted just a little to make them a bit limp. Alternate veggies one layer going one way and the other layer opposite, with your choice of sauce and cheeses in between.

The sugar free cake mixes are made by Sweet N Low. I find them at my regular grocery store, they usually are in a black box.

I put boneless chicken breast, green peppers,onions and spaghetti sauce in the slow cooker. Then serve it over noodles or rice.

Try to eat your meal slower,( takes your stomach about 20 minutes to determine it is full) Eat a lot of fiber which keeps you FULL longer.

oops hit the wrong key. I was on thyroid meds as a child (10 yrs old) for some reason unknown to me my parents discontinued them. I mentioned this to my doctor and that I have all of the symtoms.. Blood test were done and she said they were normal. But I am not convenced. Should I get a 2nd opinion?

Laughing Cow cheese wedge is good to put inside some celery. The cheese is only 35 calories. Borden fat free cheese slices are also good with a couple crackers. The new dessert flavored gum. Hard boiled eggs, excellant source of protein, as long as you don't have to watch your cholesterol. Just few ideas, hope this helps..

If you want it thicker maybe if you use lemon zest instead of the juice. I think that is what I will try. Let you know if it works.

Zucchini is also excellant as a side dish when fixed with sauted onions, green pepper, italian seasoning and canned tomatoes. Just cut zucchini into bite size chunks .

Hi, I'm 65 and like you I have dieted all my life. Hopefully this time it will be the last and I will not gain weight back. MFP has been wonderful, it makes me be accountable, even if just to mysel. I joined MFP in April and so far have lost 36 pounds, have about 30 more to go.

Tacos, stroganoff, meatball, anything you would normally use ground beef for. But watch what ground turkey you buy, some have more calories then the ground beef, because they ground dark meat and sometimes the skin.
