  • Hi! I'm Des, not a mother but I could use a challenge  I hope that's okay? I started at 157 and got all the way down to 131, then hurt my hip a year ago and have had a hard time working out since. I started losing motivation and ended up back up to 145 :grumble: No doctors can seem to find anything wrong with it,…
  • My friends made me a POF account as a joke, because I had been single for so long! I forgot about it then checked it one day, and had pages and pages of creepy messages, and one interesting one. So i answered it and things went well, we're still together :) In general I didn't like it much, but you just never know!
  • I'm not a fan of Greek yogurt, but sometimes I eat cottage cheese with fruit for breakfast, 16g protein in 1/2 cup.
  • I used to teach swimming lessons and was in the pool for hours every day, and always found that the Speedo Endurance suits were the only ones that didn't fall apart after a couple weeks. They are a little pricey, but it seems as if anything that isn't expensive gets eaten up by the chlorine right away (is your pool a…
  • There is actually a "Typical Chinese Buffet Plate" in the database! I think it's 700 calories or something, which seems low to me, but when I go to one I'm sure to eat light all day and get a good workout in first. Then I'll add that option (usually at least x2), drink tons of water, and hope I don't wake up 10 pounds…
  • Bumping this because I'm liking the ideas! I also use crystal light, but I try not to have too much of it because I feel a bit guilty using artificial sweeteners. Sometimes I drink caffeine-free tea before bed, lately I like peppermint
  • Wow.. I can't believe this! A couple of them almost doubled, it's so motivating to see that my stamina improved this much in only 2 WEEKS!! Congrats you guys who have posted already - you are doing amazing! I want to see some more results people, post those numbers! .......................Day 1 - Day 15 Switch Kicks: 64 -…
  • I am 5 days in, going well so far!
  • Looking great! this is super inspiring because our starting points and body types look similar, and your results are my goal :) thanks for posting, congrats!
  • Switch Kicks: 128 (Confused about this - each kick separately, or both legs = 1 kick? If I did this wrong, it's 64) Power Jacks: 52 Power Knees: 80 Power Jumps: 30 Globe Jumps: 10 Suicide Jumps: 12 Push Up Jacks: 15 Low Plank Obliques: 40
  • I had posted earlier about taking a break because I was sick, and it never did go away. :( still have a cold, about three weeks later!! Now I have Insanity starting tomorrow so I won't have time to finish it, but I really wish I had. Congrats to everyone who is finished and those who are still going strong!
  • I was having this issue with my boyfriend, because we haven't been dating long so I don't know him THAT well, plus I don't want to get too personal, ya know? Couldn't go with gift cards because he hates shopping, so I ended up just getting some chocolates and some fun boxers I found - one is 3D and one glows in the dark.…
  • Hi! I have been planning for a while now to start Insanity on January 2nd with a friend, because I am moving around and busy until then. Hopefully this is okay, since I am away from home until then and do not have the DVDs with me. I will just have to finish a little later than the rest of you! This will be my first round,…
  • I'll just say, yes its a "diet," but I don't think it's your typical diet. It doesn't restrict you of anything you need. I logged everything on MFP and it fit my nutrients very well. I only did it for 21 days, lost 12 lbs, then went back to regular logging and yes, I kept it off and continued losing. What it did for me was…
  • I have a bit of a cold and when I did W6 D3 I had to stop after 10 minutes of running, because I got a headache and felt like I would pass out. Took it easy and walked/jogged for the rest, but still felt sick afterwards. So I'm taking a break until I feel better but will get back into it soon!! :)
  • Just surprised myself and did W6 D2 at 10 pm. Finals have my schedule going crazy lately! It was surprisingly easy today, and it seems that I've really broken my plateau and am dropping lots of weight :) I'm really really loving this program!! edit: I am a bit confused, I think I might be following a different version of…
  • I make Greek salad with cut-up cucumber, different types of bell peppers, tomato, onion, and light feta with Kraft low-calorie Greek dressing. So yummy, healthy and still pretty and colorful, with no lettuce!! Oh, and you could throw olives in there too if you like em :)
  • Amandac72, hope you're feeling better soon, and that's very true - better late than never, and you wouldn't want to hurt yourself by pushing yourself too hard! Take it easy for now and keep on going when you're ready! :) I just finished W5 D2... still trying to catch up from my little fallback last week!! Now I just need…
  • -Low-cal Gatorade (tastes way better than Powerade zero, I think!) -Advil and sometimes Tums -LOTS of water!!
  • What a busy month, this is insane - everything I've been eating is frozen, never mind getting workouts in! Only made it twice this week, will try my very best to go 4 times next week!
  • I agree, it's more of a transition into a lifestyle change than a fad diet. I did the first phase for 21 days (because of a couple cheats) and lost 12 lbs - it was my "jump start" too. After that, I didn't do well with the second phase, so just went back to logging on MFP. I kept off all the weight and continued losing :)…
  • weigh in: 133.4 :) down 0.6 since last time. Between a new job and finals, then Christmas, this month is ridiculous!! So I have not been exercising as much as I should, but still trying to keep under calories!
  • Cutest story ever!!! :D
  • It's possible, sometimes mine spikes up to 240! And I KNOW my heart rate isn't that high, sometimes I haven't even started working out yet.
  • that's great!! Keep at it! Those little things are SO exciting. I just finished my third week of C25K - I was honestly surprised I ran the 3 minutes, I haven't run since middle school. You'll get to 5K in no time :)
  • Week 4 starts tomorrow! Runs are getting longer, but so far they're not too bad.
  • No change for me this week! Upped my calories so I'm waiting for that change to take effect... hopefully I'll start losing again soon!
  • Oh wow, you look amazing!! I'm starting January 2nd, and I just got excited all over again :) thanks for sharing!
