@cdgross81 firstly: you look awesome!!!!! Don't let anyone tell you different! Second: thank you for posting your results!!! They are great!! Did you do any other workout along with 30 ds? Do you plan on doing it again or another Jillian Michaels dvd?
Well thanks. I did some cardio, but nothing regularly.…

Ok @Katie_Y89 , here it is. Start: Weight - 150.7 lb Waist - 36 in End: Weight - 146.4 lb Waist - 33 in I started my journey in Oct so my weight loss has slowed, so I am at a total of 20 lbs lost. I have a calorie goal of 1340 - some days I eat my exercise calories, some days I don't. I took four break days because of a…

I feel the same way about my before pics. That's why we change! Keep up the hard work! Its paying off.
-
@Katie_Y89 I will. I am pretty impressed with the results. Its not my end goal but it was a lot closer than I was last month.

I read an article today that recommended raspberries, eggs, seaweed, legumes, and one other that I forgot. I haven't been eating much of any of these, so I'll be giving them a shot, except maybe the seaweed....

You guys are doing great! I have one more day of level 3 left and I'll be starting over with you. Hopefully I'll be stronger the second go round.

I love being in my 30s and listening to the 20 something's talk. Did I say crap like that? I just finished my bachelors degree last year at 34 so there was a lot of exposure to kids that really had no clue what was coming. It made me feel old at first but grateful for life lessons, such as, 9 pm is a good sound bed time.
-
Yeah, level 1 was a challenge for me starting but it was the first workout I had really done other than cardio or weights. It has gotten easier but not easy....

I'm thinking I will do it for another 30 days. I am still using some of the modifications so there is room for improvement. I am also only doing 3lb hand weights so I could increase that too. I have definitely not mastered this DVD. I am not sure you can

I am doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It has taken inches off my waist better than any thing else I have tried. 3 inches in the first 20 days.
-
I have taken rest days as necessary because of life or illness but did not count them as workout days. Example I started on Mar 1st and today I completed day 24. So there have been 4 days I couldn't.
-
You ladies keep it up! I am on day 4 of level 3 and has been awesome. I strongly recommend measurements because while I have had some weight loss, the inches have been far more exciting to see.

Bio-oil. They don't disappear but they will fade significantly.

Goodwill has half off everything on the first Saturday of the month.

Be careful with that low calorie intake. I'm far from being an expert but under 1200 is extremely low. It can make working out really dangerous. As for your work out, I'm a big fan of Zumba too. At home, I stick to that and dvds like Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It is only 20-25 minutes long but very impactful. It is a…

Back injuries are the devil. I pulled something Monday in my back during the workout and had to take a couple days off. I record it as circuit training. It gives me about 180 calories for 20 minutes. I used my heart rate monitor and got a very similar result. I am trying to figure out if when I'm done if I'll just start…

You will love it. I just bought it at a used bookstore because of what I had heard, and never expected it to work this well. Level two is kind of a bummer because it is really hard  But, like dpwellman says, "the more it sucks, the better it works."

3 more pounds and I'll be the lowest I have been in about a decade. That was my first goal when I started here.
-
I've been doing a dvd and lost more inches than months of cardio like running. I lost more pounds doing the cardio but didn't look any different.
-
I have just a basic digital one at work and a digital one from weight watchers for home. Digital is definitely easier.
-
These are my two go to exercise at home solutions too. I am on day 14 of the 30 day shred and have lost over an inch of my waistline already. Highly recommend it. As for the weight loss portion, I keep counting...

Just for informational purposes. This is what I am at for today.

Here is a recipe I use often. Under 300 calories and 10g of protein. No meat, just beans. https://tastemeplease.wordpress.com/

I can't wait to get to maintenance! It sounds like heaven :)
-
I do. I know there will be fluctuations but it keeps me on task.

So, i ended up with an impromptu break day yesterday due to some scheduling so I just did level 2. I totally see where you are coming from. But it felt a lot like I did on day 1 of level 1. I think if you are going for fitness and not weight loss, you should push it. If it was easy, everyone would do it! If you want to add…

Oh, your scaring me. I am supposed to do Day 1 of Level 2 when I get home today  But, on day one of the first level it wasn't easy and I got better, so I am sure this will be similar. Keep at it! you are a day ahead of me every day you do it!
-
I woke up at 4:30 am and did day 7 of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. 23 days to go! BTW - love this post and everyone of you is inspiring me to do something else good today!
-
Can I ask, how many times have you done this video? I did it for day #2 this morning and I am dying on just level 1. I have been working out for a few months now so thought it should be relatively easy but I'm having issues with stairs today!
-
Me too. I tracked my heart rate as well but it was virtually the same result.
