  • I'm exactly 5'3. A few weeks ago, I weighed 146 and it was just too much for my height and small frame. The healthy weight range for our height is 113 - 141. So I was basically overweight at 146. I was around 122 in college, but now that I have a child and hit the age of 30 (!), I'd like to shoot for a Goal Weight of 130.
  • Haha - you sound like me! I walk through the door after work, change, and pop in good ol' Jillian Michaels.
  • Glad to hear others are out there! LOL! I usually try to walk on the treadmill during my lunch (I work for the county and get spoiled that we can use the gym at Fire & Rescue). But then I usually do a Jillian Michaels DVD at 5:30 when I get home. My 3 year old likes to unwind from a day at preschool so I give her a snack,…

  • There is something very "drying" about it on the tongue. For that reason, I can't have it for breakfast with my coffee - too many things drying me out! LOL  But I do prefer it with some flavor - I've been eating the Whole Foods brand that comes with a fruit puree to mix in. It's got some sugar, but the overal…
  • Me too! I have to be at work by 8:00 am, so I workout during my lunch break and as soon as I walk through the door after work. I like the "idea" of mornings, but I like my sleep more :)
  • Yep, that's exactly what I do - just say it's jogging (even though it's 1/2 jogging and 1/2 walking - or whatever it might be), but adjusting the calories to match the treadmill. If you're running outside, I'd say to log the walks seperately from the runs.
  • Hi there. I am back after a break (and an 8 pound weight gain!). I think having friends and support on this site has got to be better than no support. Feel free to friend me :)
  • I agree. I think the idea of it makes sense (for the most part)...but I know that I cannot personally give up total food groups. As soon as I tell myself I can't have something, I instantly start to crave it!
  • Perfect explanation! Although I would just add that you don't HAVE to "eat back" the calories your burn...you can always opt to just have a bigger deficit (the one MFP gives you and the one you get from exercise). I normally do eat my calories back because I'm always hungry  But you don't have to as long as you're…
  • I totally agree! I was actually staying right at my measly 1200 calories (yikes!) and not losing weight...I realized it's because all my foods were simple carbs...like a Nutri-grain bar for breakfast. That's not going to fill anyone up! Or last more than an hour! I'm trying very hard to forgo a lot of carbs (like rice,…
  • LOL, love the Globo Gym banner!
  • Ditto what other folks said - weight fluctuations do happen (if you eat lots of salty Chinese food, have your period, etc.) I would defintiely say to only weigh in once per week: same time, same day - totally in the nude  However, I've also started to notice a difference when I cut out more carbs. I'm not paying a…
  • I tried it a few weeks ago, and they asked if I wanted it sweet or unsweet. I said unsweet and it was still delicious!! Is the 100 calories you see online for the sweet or unsweet version??
  • Well said! The commenters are absolutely right. You can eat whatever you want, as long as you stay within your calories and technically still lose weight. That being said, it's harder to lose the weight, because you will often not get (or stay) full. So if you're craving a piece of chocolate every now and then, I say go…
  • Yep, cottage cheese in place of lasagna - probably your best bet!
