  • BJ Broxton Apologies for not posting last week, I misread the post about what was going on here. (To much fat has left my head, so I am now light headed....that's my story and I am sticking to it!) SW 340 GW 200 LW 07/03/2014 283.4 CW 07/10/2014 279.4

  • LOL not going to deny I have gave myself a treat of a beer or two (since burbon apparently has to many calories...150 per shot REALLY?!?!?!?) most light beers are 95 kal each per 12 oz. but no I was referring to smoothies and veggie drinks.
  • I am going to try something a little different for the next few days (2-3 days) Going to only have a "liquid diet" to attempt to cleanse myself of the holiday goodies. My sodium intake has been very bad along with the sugars and carbs.
  • BJ Broxton SW : 340+lbs Not sure the exact weight as I went past the scale limit GW - 200 lbs LWW : 05/22/14 -296.8 CW - 295.0 Loss -1.8lbs Ok so I did not eat like I was supposed to and barely exercised. Now I will hang my head down in shame:(
  • Nice work Josh!!!!! Welcome to the group!
  • I will most likely "plateau" soon...seem to be a trend in my weight loss. I will drop quite a few pounds then a plateau....all of a sudden I will lose 5-6 lbs lol. I am just ecstatic about breaking 300lbs.
  • It is possible with all the exercise and activities you are holding water weight?
  • I think I have my macros figured out finally..... balanced carbs and protein and keep the sodium as low as possible......which is so difficult (the sodium)
  • Same to you! I know how you feel about the long W/E.....I almost feel like starving myself so I can prepare for the extra lol. We will be at my parents for a few days and not in our own "place of diet". So I know my sodium will most likely be high. Uhg

  • Hi all! I am a 37 yr old father of 3 and husband to a great woman, just trying to get into shape and in better health so that I can enjoy some outdoors with my family. Like I had previously said I know my weight was as high as at LEAST +340lb (my scale only went to 338). I really got tired of "breaking a sweat" just…
  • Well there are MANY things wrong with the public school system in the U.S. , I too find it ridiculous that they are removing chocolate milk when there are soda and snack machines in nearly every hallway/ gymnasium across America's schools. My personal belief is that they are just trying to cut costs. Surely it isn't in the…
  • BTW OP it does get easier to eat up the calories....(like someone posted before here, "it is easy to get full eating a bunch of healthy foods) One thing my wife and I are learning (re-learning) is that there is a difference in "needing to eat" and "being hungry". When we first started here (was on a 1400 diet before…
  • Great article! thanks for posting
  • Agreed, my wife and I are "adjusting to meet the caloric goals" Most of the time we are just full (same as OP), currently we are using protein shakes but sometimes hate the bloated feeling afterwards. The protein however (using whey protein also) is causing digestive problems. So we will have to slow down on it for a bit.
  • Makes great sense, 2k calories is 2k calories. I do have one question about this that I do not see come up often......What about the "other things/side effects" of eating what you want as opposed to eating healthy? I know there is a drastic difference between Cheetos and broccoli but surely eating healthy goes a lot…
  • Well not sure about the OP but eating some of the things as before, may trigger the unhealthy habits back. I like the OP have a hard time eating up to my calorie count. But I am not going to stuff "fried chicken" back down my throat or the candy bars. (If eating 1200 is so hard...how did you get overweight in the first…

  • My wife and I just started this set (we may have to do week 1 twice) I do not want to move forward a week until we can get through the entire first week! What type of workout is this? We are a bit confused on how to log this in to MFP.
  • Sorry I did not read your post ( I basically said the same! lol Any ideas on a low sodium ham? Like picnic style ham?

  • Not sure if this is an option for you as the start up cost is more than just going to the market for some deli meats but.......you can always by a meat slicer and just cook meats at home and slice them up after the have cooled down. This way at least you can control what goes in the seasoning. Roast beef is the easiest to…

  • Yeah slowly Integrating that in, cardio first to get broke in, then core w/ cardio, then alternate cardio and strength with cardio and core.
  • thank you Steph! My wife and I had a celebratory meal/ Anniversary meal (kids were gone to grandparents) at a local grill house Both of us had some type of grilled fish with veggies....to us having a relaxing meal without playing referee was nice! But was worried afterwards because we could not find the nutritional info…
