  • The mind is powerful! It does take time to "catch up" to how you see yourself after some weight loss. I once lost 60 lbs...had finally started seeing the difference much later than when those around me started noticing. Unfortunately, as I started feeling suave, I started to loose control of myself again and it took my…

  • Welcome. Remember that you need to be a little selfish and take care of yourself before you are able to care of anybody else....including loving and playing with your kids. Yes, love is blind but if you can give it back while happy about yourself, it is just a sweeter deal.
  • Welcome to a second home!
  • Way to go! You can tell the difference. Btw, I couldn't help but noticing your dog...so cute . Looks like a photoshopped chocolate lab with the body of a dalmatian. Cute
  • Welcome! I have been here for about 5 wks and really find it very helpful. It is one thing to journal what you eat, and then there is whole other sense of accountability in sharing it with friends here.
  • Way to go, my friend!
  • I like the ones that are like tank tops (no wires or special cups)' as I feel they hold me in tighter. I got one several years ago from Under Armour and love it. It was about $25-30 and really has held up very well; I use it a lot, it is kind of shinny Lycra material. On their web site, it looks like the Women's Original.…
  • I've got to come back to check out the video tomorrow...my hubby is sleeping right now and it would not be too nice to sound off some videos :). I'm sure you have done great !
  • I love it too! It is not as cluttered and slow as others. I was also impressed with finding some obscure dressing I bought...just be sure to verify the nutritional info. I can't wait to reach my goal to...never in my life have I been able to, but I sure am trying.
  • I'm sure Osama had instructions as to what his followers needed to do in case of his death, so naturally it is scarry. We need to be very aware adn vigilant about what's going on around us. I also think it is really freaky that also on 5/1 in 1945 Hitler also died.…
  • I definitely have to have a list. If I don't, I end up spending a lot more money and may end up with still trying to figure out what to make. What works best for me, is to get a healthy magazine (cooking light or weight watchers) from any old stack I hadn't gotten to yet, and jot down the recipes that look good. I am…
  • It really depend on the type of cut you will buy. Ground beef may be $1.00/lb and prime rib can be $20. I usually buy meat at SAMs and freeze smaller portions. In the long run, a bulk purchase is cheaper.
  • In general, I think all exercises are over on the calories burned estimates. I am sure that you burnt a few but only due to having to steer and perhaps sweating if it was hot out. I would just count 100 max. I sully do end up adjusting way down....on hard cardio stuff I just say 100 cals per 10 mins, which is what I…
  • If you have enough time to train before the walk, get used to incorporating some gels, energy drinks, etc...don't change up the brand on the day of the race, especially if your tummy tends to be sensitive. If this is an organized event, you can find out what types of hydrating drinks/gels they will be providing at the…
  • Can I say, I can relate? It will be a slow journey for all of us trying to loose more than just a couple pounds. Sending over a friend request. I also need the support.
  • There goes my friend request! I love the support on MFP and also like getting ideas/inspirations from others' meal diaries.
  • You look awesome! I am also 5-10" and my goal is not far from yours. I do have a looking way to go, though.
  • That's the right attitude! I have a lot to loose too, so I have to be patient and consistent. Feel free to friend me.
  • I love this site! Looks like you are doing really good so far! Keep it up
  • I would log it as light walking but, as with any other exercise I log...just for a sense of accomplishment. I don't like to count or use those for extra calories to eat.- some exercises here already seem like they are high in the calories burnt department.
  • What is a cocopop cake? I made something that may sound similar but a little higher in calories: 1 mini sponge cake, add a tbs of light jelly and top with a mixture of 2 tsp light ricotta mixed with a packet of stevia. You can top with fresh berries.
  • Where to start.... Looking forward to a Disney trip, in which I do not have to worry about wether or not my butt will fit in the ride. Same thing goes for my worry of plane seats. Shopping - in my own closet! Getting rid of knee! Back, heel pain that I am sure is weight related Being able to run a half marathon
  • You look fabulous! Lbs and years have been shed...way to go! .
  • Looking good. You can really with wearing the same outfit.
