I had a bunch of false starts before it all clicked. Just keep at it and try not to be mad at yourself. One thing if you stop thinking of it as a diet it takes a lot of pressue off. A diet has an end and a lifestyle does not. I'm struggling with maintenance so know that you aren't alone
-
Amen, maintenance is another battle of its own:drinker:
-
sometimes the don't work if you have an underwire bra on.
-
I'm 116 lbs thinner and a size 4/6 but still see the size 20w/22w girl in the mirror
-
I stopped thinking of losing weight as a diet and embraced it as a Lifestyle change.

bump.. great post

I logged my food. Made sure to watch my portions by weighing and measuring. I work out 5 days a week. It took just under 2 years to lose 115 lbs. That seems slow to some but if I only have to lose the weight once I'm good with the amount of time! :drinker:
-
Yes, I think of my calories as money! Puts it into persepctive to me.. I wont "spend" my calories that aren't worth it.
-
I'm just under 5'3" I've lost 115lbs. My cw is 140.6 original gw 125 now I am thinking 135 will be low enough. I have lost a lot of inches from exercise I'm a size 4/6 and don't see the need to get any smaller. I just want a cushion now. You can see my pic in my prifile picture.

Congratulations!!!!

Awesome for you!!! I had trouble when I flew in April and May. I told the TSA guy to get a woman she'd understand. I was willing to log into MFP or FaceBook to prove who I was.
-
I just might do that!!!
-
Couldn't say it better myself!

Great job you look wonderful :flowerforyou:

Some times it takes a few false starts until it clicks. Don't rush it, it will come. Until I embrassed that it is a lifestyle change I only had short term success. My weight loss has taken a lot longer than I have wanted but I figure I'm ok with it as long as I don't have to lose it again. You can accomplish anything you…

Make sure you know what you are wanting to focus on example- increase core strength, overall fitness etc. Interview the trainer not the other way around. A trainer is wonderful. He or She will help push you and you will realize that you can do more than you originally thought possible. At least that was what I found.

It took 6 weeks when I saw major results, losing inches and getting stronger. But 8 months before I could honestly say that I love to exercise and I miss it if I don't do it.

When I hit my 100 pound loss mark I replaced my second and third piercings with real diamonds :flowerforyou:

One thing that helps me when I'm getting discouraged is to take a picture and put it side by side with my starting picture. Give it a try, I'd be surprised if it didn't put a smile on your face
-
Do you weigh and measure your food? I find that it makes a big difference.
-
Mine too!

I feel healthier and stronger for which I am grateful but.... 1. I'm sore all the time from working out 2. I'm always cold 3. My boobs are totally gone (padded bras are my friend) 4. Not being able to judge my size anymore 5. I've developed bat wings 6. Sagging skin on thighs and tummy 7. I get overwhelmed when I go…
-
That is a great gift! I was just saying there are two things I miss about being overweight, my larger breasts and being a comfortable temperature. I'm cold all the time!

Tough days are the days that I do a side by side of me at my heaviest and me now. It usually puts me back in the grove. Some days are easier than others and some days it is an hour by hour struggle. Hang in there you can do anything!!!

About a year and a half to lose 90 lbs. I tend to lose 8-10 pounds for two months in a row then struggle to lose 1 pound the next. Since I started cardio tae kwon do kick boxing 3 times a week the inches have fallen off like not other
