That's a very specific problem you have. Thankfully most of us don't have your huge challenges. We do have our own though. Everyone of us is different and in general, it's possible to diet and still feel full.

How many fresh chillies is that then? And what type? I can source 10 different chilli powders around me. It gets confusing :(
-
It certainly does. My mouth's watering! I like the fact that it's made from individual naturally occuring ingredients, apart from the 2 sauces which are usually obtainable everywhere. It works out to 285 calories per serving :-D :-D :-D I get frustrated by recipes which use items available in your location, but not mine.…

I missed out the rice as I can't control how much rice I eat. It just seems to make me hungry, so I avoid it!
-
No. I disagree. Many days I can't eat all my calories as I feel full and satisfied. It all hinges on WHAT you eat. Have a look at my diary, it's public. Apart from a 2 week spell in august, it's all logged.

You soon start to identify foods which fill the hungry gap better than others. I get very hungry and I cook, so I've created recipes which are low calorie but fill my tum! I am losing weight at the rate of about 1 pound a week. I only have a 1300 cal allowance, as I don't have a lot left to lose.

It's always good to send a message with a friend request to introduce yourself and let the other person know a bit about you and your food/exercise habits

HUGE beefsteak tomato, cut in half, grilled, then just before its ready shave some tasty cheese (I use feta, but cheddar is good too) over the 2 halves and melt. Really tasty and satisfying.

Skin the chicken (easy!) cut it into 8 portions, follow this recipe and you have 4 big portions at under 300 calories http://www.womanmagazine.co.uk/food/hairy-dieters-chicken-jalfrezi-recipe/ Just cook a bit more than it says 'til the chicken pieces are cooked through.

I quit 25 years ago after 20 years of addiction. I used to smoke roll - ups with no filter. The thing that tipped the balance for me was the gradual de-socialising of my habit. I found myself smoking in the garden when everyone else was inside having a good time. A good friend helped me through the tough times (I went cold…

Interesting and well thought out. I have a personal theory that your own gut flora needs the nutrition it was built on to be healthy. By that I mean what it grew up with, local food, in season for me. A child of a wandering tribe might be able to be healthiest eating many things as that is what was learnt from infancy. My…

I've just planted a load of kale for the winter. Never tried kale in the summer as there are way too many more tender things to eat then.

and I fill it out every day!

I have an open diary, but as I'm in the uk, some of the food may sound strange! Any recipes you need, just send me a message.

My nephew ate like that as a teenager. By restricting the quantity of cereal we had in the house, he was encouraged to learn to cook! He would create ever more wondrous menus involving huge amounts of (cheap) pasta!

I live in the UK, in a major city. I spend on average £30 ($50) a week for all our groceries, there are 2 of us. We eat organic and eat meat too. I have 3 allotments to grow all the rest of our food. And I cook, bake, preserve and bargain hunt!

I have quite a large machine with trays about 18" square. If your machine is smaller, you may need to share it out over several shelves

New recipe - Fruit leathers. 1kg soft fruit 4 tbls sugar 1 tbls Xylitol 1 cup water. Cook the fruit over a small flame in the water until very mushy. Help it along with a potato masher. Cool a little then push through a seive. Put the purée back in the washed pan and cook very gently until thick. Stir in the sugars to…

I found some of the "rice". What's the tastiest recipe you've had with that? I'm guessing curry would be good. Anything else?
-
Bacon. Salty and protein. Sorted!
-
Do you have any recipes to share?
-
And 3 hours later I'm still stuffed

It was so strange. I expected rubbery as that's what people complained about and the first 2 mouthfuls were just that. Then it just became a pleasure! The tastes of your sauce is all you taste. Wonderful  I needed to rinse them over and over to get rid of the strange smell. But at last they smelled ok.

I make sure I weigh and measure and log EVERYTHING. Then, if you are keeping below the calorie level you will lose weight. HOWEVER there may be a too generous calorie level as someone else has posted earlier. If that's the case you need to lower it by about 150 calories and see if that makes a difference. Feel free to look…

I am so glad I saw this. I've had a couple of 200g packs of these in the cupboard for a while and was late today so had no time to plan lunch. I found a bunch of random ingredients in the fridge and put them together to make the tastiest 145 calorie lunch I've ever had! Stuffed now and happy

Even better - I grow it! Veg and fruit, that is!
-
This is our equivalent product in the UK.- http://www.avogel.co.uk/food/herbamare/ is that a fair comparison? It's a little difficult sometimes translating food products. Better to start with the ingredients.

No, I don't have a problem with grains. Almonds don't grow here but wheat, barley and oats do. I prefer to eat local where possible.
-
A good suggestion, thank you. Soup is already my mainstay for the cooler months. I'll test out the wraps.

In the northern steppes of Russia with its long cold winters, you'd be thrilled to be able to get a cabbage harvested in the summer and make this. It comes with the climate. Where do you live? What grows well around you? Eat that.
