  • Everyone's different too, and loses at their own pace, you've lost pretty much already as well! Just stick to you calorie goals as best you can, and find an exercise you like, you will get there eventually :). (Fall/winter was tough for me as well, all those holiday foods lol. My loss was slower during that time).
  • Stick to something you know you can keep up with. Don't cut anything out completely, have a cheat day once in a while (but still log it). Find an exercise you enjoy so you are more motivated to do it on a regular basis. But most importantly you need to have the attitude that you will be able to do it. Another thing that…
  • I'm 5'5.. started at my heaviest at 240, last June. Years of unhealthy choices, plus having a baby, caught up to me.
  • I've relied on microwave dinners for when I'm at work for anywhere from 2-5 days of the week. You still have to keep an eye on whats in them.. I usually stick to Healthy choice & Lean Cuisine. Yes they are usually high in sodium, but since I don't have problems with sodium I don't really worry about it, and I drink more…
  • I've gone over my sugar goals a lot.. and it doesn't seem to affect my progress. I mainly just focus on my calories and I've been losing pretty much as much as predicted by MFP.
  • I have to have my sweets everyday too. The Fiberone brownies are life savers. They are only 90 calories and since they have more fiber so they are a little more filling. Yes they are small..I tend to break off a little piece at a time to eat it more slowly to enjoy it more lol. Also skinnycow has some really good reduced…
  • You can definitely do that. I've gone down 55 pounds since June. (so like 6 months). So wanting to lose 50 in a year sounds really reasonable. Yes, you might not see the weight fall off as fast as you get closer to your goal, but even with that I think you should make it in a year if you are sticking to your calorie goals.
  • At first I did. But after watching my calories for a few months, I have really become used to eating less and not over indulging. Now I can have a small piece of cake and not go back for the rest and stick to one slice of pizza instead of like 3 and feel satisfied lol.
  • I'v lost about 55 pounds and never actually weighed my food. When I'm at work, I usually have something prepackaged like those lean cuisine meals. But for other cases like restaurants, I try to find places that have nutrition info available. If not I log it as close as I can. If I can find a similar dish, I'll use that. If…
  • Any amount of success is a job well done! I need to get my ring resized soon too, It used to be tight that I couldn't get it off at all, now it just slides right off lol. And manderson27 thanks for putting what NSV meant. I keep seeing it in forums and had no clue what that was lol
  • Thanks everyone! And yes, I've been trying to stick to the same dress to show the loss better, but man did I freeze taking the picture lol. I'm in PA in was like 30 degrees that morning, but I wanted to stick to natural outdoor lighting too.
  • I don't know why they aren't rotated right (if you click on them, it takes you to a page by itself, and its rotated right) I had rotated them right before I uploaded them :P
  • I finally bought a few new things today. I started in June and am about 40 pounds down, and about 2, almost 3 pants sizes. I was lucky I had a few pieces of clothing stored in the closet from when I was smaller (or I would have had to buy things sooner), but still didn't have that much that fit comfortable. I think its…
  • After all you're hard work, I think a nice cheat meal like this was well earned :). Just get back on track tomorrow. As long as this isn't how you are going to eat every day, you haven't screwed up your whole diet. oh and I doubt you'll gain much from that..like an above poster mentioned, the high sodium might make you…
  • I through something together the other week, and thought it came out amazing. Sliced up some zucchini, threw it in a glass baking dish with tomato sauce, onions and some homemade meatballs my mom gave me (You could use whatever meat you want or have on hand) and topped it off with some low fat shredded mozzarella. Baked it…
  • I usually have a tight budget too, as well as not much time. I have like a store-brand protein bar for breakfast, or oatmeal (I'm usually not very hungry in the morning though either). Lunch maybe soup or a sandwich... And for dinner I'm usually at work anyway so I have to pack, I have been buying the healthy choice and…
  • Two years ago I tried slimquick and with diet and exercise I lost 20 pounds in a little over 2 months. I stopped because I found out I was pregnant, and after I had my son I had gained weight again.. Now I am just following my MFP goals, exercising a little and in about a month and a half I am done 16 pounds already... so…
  • Actually just went to one last month. Fall Out Boy, Paramore & New Politics. Best concert ever! :)
  • Was chubby as a kid. Once I hit puberty I lost a ton of weight and was actually pretty healthy. Then when I met my high school sweetheart, now husband, we just kept gradually putting on weight together...These last few years I'v stopped gaining, but was just staying at basically the same weight and sizes.. (looked at some…
  • I went a few weeks ago and researched it a little... the won ton soup wasn't too bad, and you could have a pretty nice portion. I did get some shrimp fried rice but watched how much I ate of it. Beside that, sea food & veggies are good choice, just watch the sauces their in :)
  • At my old job, someone used to always steal the sandwich out of a coworkers lunch box. Nothing else, just the sandwich.. One day she packed a canned dog food sandwich. After that her sandwiches stopped disappearing.
  • http://allrecipes.com/recipe/honey-soy-tilapia/ I THINK this is the recipe I used (it's been a while). I like sweeter sauces on fish, and I made a honey and soy recipe that was really good and had strong flavor. Any recipes with garlic too do a good job of hiding the fishy flavor you're talking about.
  • Amazing. Definitely an inspiration! Congrats!
  • Stick to using the same scale every time. The amount of weight you are losing will be the same. Every scale seems to be a tad different, and even if its off by just a little bit it can be discouraging...
  • I used to diet with slim fast shakes.. yes I was losing weight, but I'd get to the point where I couldn't take it anymore, and just wanted real food. ( was replacing 1 - 2 meals)... so gave up.Then faster than I lost I'd get the wait back. I do still use meal replacement bars for breakfast (its something easy for me to…
  • Hi everyone! Just joined a little over 3 weeks ago, getting the hang of things now. Would love some new friends who are also on a journey to lose weight! I set my first goal to lose 50 pounds but really need to lose closer to 80-100 I believe.
  • I don't like to work out in public or anything either. I also have a 2 year old so when I'm not at my job, I'm home with him. I try to meet my calorie goals since that alone seems to help lose the weight, but I feel like I need to get some exercise in. I've always been into playing Dance Dance Revolution, so I break that…
  • I'm about 5'5. My starting weight was at 240 (highest its ever been :( ) I'm starting off with a smaller goal of losing about 50 pounds. Just getting under 200 would be an awesome start for me! My BMI suggest I should be at around 130..but that seems too low to me since I know I have a big bone structure.. I think closer…
  • I treat alcohol just as any extra snack and still try to make it fit within my calorie goals. I usually only drink on the weekends, and when I know I am going to be drinking, I do a longer workout. The calories in most drinks add up fast.
