🌈What have you accomplished so far this summer? What are you still hoping to achieve? I've logged in MFP more than ever! I'm on week 2 of exercising - keeping it strong at 1 hour cardio on the bike 5 times a week. I've lost 11 pounds since may! :) My goal this summer is to lose another 10 pounds by the end of August. Age:…

I get annoyed with it too. I think I'm subconsciously choosing to eat the same things over and over again because logging is such a pain

I love the response above - I agree. I try to be kind. I think people mean well. I often get feelings of defensiveness about it but I try to look inside and ask myself why I'm getting so upset - its my problem :)

Wow!!!!!

I am also trying one pound for week for the same reason!! I always fail because I’m too hungry. 1 pound per week is way better than no pounds cause I keep failing lol I figure once I get the hang of this I’ll slowly step it up - maybe 100 calories less at a time..... 52 pounds a year is an exciting prospect and if it means…

Thank you all!!

Thanks for the replies. 5’9 200 pounds Using Lose It app determined 1600 per day would all 1-2 pounds a week loss

Also, my macros are admittedly low on protein but high on fiber and fat. Lots of veggies, avocado, whole grains, beans. A small amount of animal protein (fish).

Hi all. Really enjoy reading this support thread. I am on day 7 AF and looking for places to land when I need to stay motivated. It’s been a great week and I’m feeling so healthy, but I know that struggle will happen. How do you prepare yourself mentally? I want to be strong when the trigger or the temptation happens.…

My commitments for today! 1. Stick to the food I planned to eat and log everything 2. Do the workout I planned to do 3. Drink 100oz of water 4. If I look in the mirror I have to find at least one beautiful awesome thing I love about my body - fight that negative talk 5. Continue to say no to alcohol and cigarettes. Not…

Me too on the post ride over eating!! Trying to drop the weight but not the power. I find that eating a lot while riding keeps me from over eating after the ride. I snack on something every 45 minutes, and include fat, carbs and protein in my snacks. If I fuel myself while I ride, I will eat with control the rest of the…

I lost 2 pounds my first week. I feel almost discouraged by that because I've read here people losing 7 pounds! I wonder if weight weekly isn't the best thing? Once a month? Because our bodies fluctuate with water - perhaps a weekly weigh in is too little a loss to feel inspired? Idk
-
Weigh in for first 7 days - lost exactly 2 pounds. Will keep going 😬

Thanks all for your replies! It's nice to hear how others are doing this. And the success stories!! 30 pounds in three months- amazing! I don't know why I've chosen to eat every three hours but it feels right because I'll be hungry about every three and I eat smaller portions that way.

Yep! You can add me!

Awesome!

I've been eating a vegan diet for six weeks now. I do feel like a lot of positive things have happened. My energy level is very high, I do not require as much sleep during the night, my skin is healthier (mysterious rashes gone, redness in my face diminished), my nails are stronger, my hair is softer, and I am also not…

You can do it!! It's def helpful if you have support. I'm on day 23 without a drink and I was a heavy binge drinker. I have not had any physical withdrawals and it FEELs AMAZING. Things that happened so far - my skin is not as dry and itchy. My face is not as red, my eyes are whiter, my hair is softer and it also seems to…

I'm so sorry you are managing depression. I understand because I have to manage it too. It's so hard. For me, taking the right anti depressant at the right dose did everything for me, and also eating right and exercise and not drinking alcohol. For me the depression it's all related to my body and it's chemistry and…

So funny that we don't notice it coming back! Maybe because we are in denial?!

Cooking requires more time than the time actually making the food. It's planning what to eat and buy and grocery shopping. Some people don't have the time to prepare and plan
-
It seems to have cut off my question! Sorry! The rest of it was - what are your strategies to get it back to normal again :) thanks!
-
thanks everyone for the responses. I am feeling such extreme energy, it's almost euphoric. Today I'm going to avoid caffeine (and I'm a heavy coffee drinker). I also have no appetite and I haven't eaten in 12 hours!

Day one! Add me! Let's do this! 30 pounds in five weeks? I can I ask what was your starting weight?
-
Wow so inspiring! I am trying to walk more - how do you get all your steps in?
-
Hi - I am on the journey too. Just started. I have no words of wisdom except wanted to chime in with, you're not alone! I am trying to focus on everyday and every choice within the day, and not think about the big decision to never drink, as that feels impossible. But individual moments and the decisions I make within them…

People love to give a woman their opinion - especially about her weight! I've been fat and skinny, and heard it all on both ends. The only thing I will regret on my death bed is not telling enough people to shut up (some famous woman said that I can't remember who!) Hang in there! <3
