That sounds like something my best friend would say. He is infamous for sticking his foot in his mouth I swear. :laugh: Generally speaking if you have to preface a statement with "No offense" or " don't take this the wrong way" then you probably shouldn't say it in the first place.

Hi! I live in AZ too. I started my journey in March of 2011. I haven't lost extremely fast but I've kept it off. :) I am down 31 lbs and have about 46 left to go. For exercise I love to go to Zumba classes.

You know, what helped me was having mini goals. I too had a large amount to lose when I first started. My first goal wasn't even weight related exactly. The goal I had initially was to make exercise a habit. Once I did that I was then better able to focus on my food. :) Feel free to add me as a friend!

I'm new here too! So far so good. I have good days and not so great days but I don't let it derail my overall efforts. Does anyone like Zumba? It's the most fun I've ever had in a workout. :)

I had lost about 75 lbs a few years ago by cutting out bread, pasta, rice. I ate a ton of veggies, some fruits, lean proteins. I did well on it but then I got pregnant and well...I didn't maintain the loss. :laugh: I also didn't exercise at all back then. Nowadays I find that I need some whole grains to give me the energy…

I'm 5'3 and my starting weight (before I found this site) was 233 Current weight is 201 Goal weight is undecided. I'm pretty muscular and BMI says I should weight 140 or lower. I think I'd be happy at 150 though. I'm wearing a sz 14/16 depending on clothing brand.

I'm also a single working mom. I work 9-530 and between my zumba stuff and my daughter's activities I'm always running! I also use the crockpot a lot or quick type of meals.

I rarely eat back my calories on days that I work out. I just can't eat 2300 calories in a day, it's not gonna happen for me.

I do the wii at home and classes as well. I love it!!

I have lost 30 lbs since I started Zumba a year ago. I love it! I want to get certified to teach one day! :)

I think that it's an individual thing. Some people are just not able to process bread, pasta, ect that well. Low carb diets like Atkins are not meant to keep you in the ketosis stage permanently. It's an induction period and then you are supposed to slowly incorporate healthy carbs back into your diet such as fruits, more…

I had an emergency c-section with my daughter. She is now almost 7. I had the vertical and horizontal incisions as my girl was very stubborn and STUCK in my pelvic bone. Zumba and Pilates has really helped out a lot. I don't know that I will ever have a flat stomach without surgery though.
