  • Yes, I weigh and/or measure all of my food. I have done that in the past A LOT, so most of it I can eye ball now and I know I am in the general ballpark. I am 31 and 5'9" and without stating my weight (boo!) I have about 40lbs to lose!
  • Avocado and eggs! Yum! Both great suggestions... going to pick some up tomorrow and start adding those in to my daily food intake! Sometimes I just get stuck on WHAT to eat... coming up with different things, ya know? Appreciate it :)
  • Okay, I will start eating more and will eat back my exercise calories! Lets see if that helps :) Fingers crossed :) Also, going to read that long post now to figure out the TDEE stuff. Thanks so much!
  • Yeah I do eat a lot of carrots and spinach. But that's good advice, I will try to incorporate more veggies into my daily eating. Thank you. As for not hitting my calorie goal - I am really struggling with that. I just get full and am not hungry (truly! I LOVE food!) so I don't know if I should force myself to eat when I am…
  • People are a**holes. Ignore them and keeping fighting to lose more weight. Seriously, if that is the only thing they can say, they obviously have bigger issues in their own life. Be happy you aren't a miserable person like them. And for the record, 6lbs is AMAZING. Good for you! :)
  • ^^^^^^^^ What she said. I was just looking for the support of people who had already started, or were interested in starting. If you aren't interested or think its crap, thats obvioulsy perfectly fine, but please, don't waste your time on my interest in fad diets! :D
  • Bawling. I have a 4 year old Doberman and she is my life (my husband loves it when I say that lol). I can't imagine how your wife is feeling. She just said good bye to her best friend... so sad and heart breaking. This post made me give my pup the biggest snuggle hug. xx
  • So you do your make up before working out - work out - and then change and go do other stuff? Without re-doing your make up or doing anything with your hair?? Are you not sweating at the gym? If I did my hair and make up before working out, I would have to do it all again after working out because I work my *kitten* off,…
  • I wasn't trying to sell anyone on this diet......... I was merely looking for individuals who were either interested in starting, or have already started. Das all folks!
  • Also, the 'lifestyle' change is deifnitely a big part of it. Cycle 4 is the maintenance stage and this shows how to maintain a healthy lifestyle once we reach our target weight!!! :):)
  • I'm a newbie to this, but from what I can tell its a very nutritious, well balanced diet focusing on healthy food. Not for everyone - CLEARLY - but seems to work for some. Everyone is different, and we all need to find the right thing for us! :)
  • The general idea of the 17DD is this: 3 - 17 Day Cycles and then a final Maintenance Cycle once the first 3 Cycles are completed. Each cycle is different and has different goals. For example Cycle 1 is all about detoxifying the body, upping your fiber and protein, no carbs (other than what is in fruit/veggies) and low low…
  • Oh LORD yes! I can't stand those damn commercials. I always wonder why she cant just speak through the commercials instead of screaming (singing???!) her way through them. ANNOYING!
  • Sorry it didnt work for you! Everyone is different, so hopefully I won't have that same reaction to it! Thanks for the feedback though :)
  • Yeah the more expensive brands usually have the length to fit me. For a more moderate price tag, I can usually find pants/jeans in "Long" at the GAP. And Rickis also offers 36" inseam on their jeans!
  • Wow... I was always doing my cardio, and then my weight training! But what you have explained makes sense from a scientific/physiological point of view! I will start using this in my workouts tomorrow :)
  • Thanks for all the replies! I am not feeling worn out or tired or anything. I feel great! And I am working with weights - cardio and weights 6 times a week. I do both everyday. I am going to try adding in some protein after my workouts in the nighttime to up my calories and try to help boost my metabolism. Lets see if that…
  • Nope, not feeling hungry. Like I said, if I am hungry, I will eat. I don't believe in depriving myself of food as long as I am not eating over my calories - if that makes sense. I've lost about 10lbs since January 1st. (I had lost weight last year which is why my total is approx 22lbs lost). So a little over 1lbs/week I…
  • I would like to see some responses here. I've been eating clean (I'd say 95% of the food I eat is natural, organic, etc) since Jan 1 and let me tell you... my grocery budget has skyrocketed! I am spending SO much more money... ugh. Worth it, obviously... but so hard on my bank account.
  • I have smoothies every morning for breakfast. Normally its 1/2 fruit and 1/2 veggies. I find it a great way to get lots of good nutrients first thing in the morning. I just throw it all in my blender with some water and take it with me out the door to work and drink it on my commute. An example of what I have: 1/2 cup…
  • Yes. Yesterday I had a popsicle and a beer for supper because it was just too hot to eat anything else. lmao.
  • I started it a few days ago and I have just been entering it has "Circuit training" for like 20-25 minutes. I figure that is close to being accurate, but if you were being really sticky about the calories burned, get a HRM as others suggested and get an exact amount :)
  • Just started this today... I figure start on July 1 and bust my *kitten* for the month of July! It was brutal today... I made it through the workout, but definitely hit the pause button a few times for a quick water break. The lunges at the end kicked my *kitten*, and I hate the jump rope. Great workout!!!! Looking forward…
  • Thank you for all the dessert ideas... that pineapple angel food cake sounds amazing! I ended up making a Peanut Butter Pie... not exactly low calorie, but I used all low calorie/fat free products, so it isn't terrible. I definitely won't be having a slice of it though, and I am okay with that!!! I am doing really well…
  • Alright Team Villian - I NEED YOUR HELP!!! Its my moms birthday this weekend and we are having a big family get together, like we always do. I am in charge of making dessert for the supper. I want to do something tasty (obviously) but light and low cal (my mom is on MFP too!). Any thoughts? I was thinking Angel Food Cake…

  • Awww we came last!! Which means, we can only do better right??? RIGHT! I was lucky enough to be dealing with my TOTM last week combined with being on vacation all week (read: red wine addiction) = only .4lbs lost. BOOURNS! Hoping to lose 1-2lbs this week! So far so good!!!!
  • Ugh I was on vacation this past week, so I only lost .4lbs, but thats better than gaining right? I'm back on track as of yesterday though, and will be making sure to stay under my calories every day!!! Will there be a new post with our weigh in updates? How is everyone else doing today? (PS - when does True Blood actually…
  • Hey Team Villian!!!! We need to kick some *kitten* on this challenge - we're in it to WIN it!!!
