Hi - I weigh a lot more than you but luckily I am 5ft7. I had a full hysterectomy almost 2 years ago and between that and various medications I gained 4.5stone! I am now doing the 5:2 diet and exercising and am losing weight. I've lost 13.5lbs since 3 March 2013.

My highest weight was 263. My current weight 3 months on is 244. My initial goal is 175 - and then will review....

Hello and welcome. I have quite a bit of weight to lose too. I set an initial target of 87lb but may go for another stone after that if I feel sufficiently motivated. I have 2 kids too and work full time.

You look a lot healthier - and radiant on the second photo Well done

congrats. I think I've lost my kitten in the last few weeks - not sure what she weighs now though... A nice entry to the forum!

Well done. I look forward to that day too.... for me

I will be chuffed when I go down 44 inch plus D cup not so good.... back problems from the weight of them not much fun. I am looking forward to even being a 38 inch - as then I can get back in normal range of bras and hopefully find prettier ones! There are lots of blessings from smaller breasts...

I'm doing it. I watched the horizon documentary (on you tube) eat, fast, live longer and bought the book. I am eating 500-700 calories 2 days a week but 1700-3000 calories on the other 5 days... I've lost 13.5lbs in 4 weeks. I have tried to exercise 4 x a week on top. I've found calorie restricting 2 days a week a lot…

I am doing 5:2 and in 4 weeks have lost 13.5 lb. I haven't found the hunger level terrible and I don't believe it will damage my metabolism - as long as I eat normally the ohter 5 days. The NHS are even studying it - look at the Genesis project in Wythenshawe Manchester for a start....

I am doing the 5:2 diet - I am restricting my calorie intake 2 days a week, so I can be less calorie obsessed the rest of the week. Win:win. Plus it has helped me reset my body and my eating - before I was eating all day and all night. Believe me this is much better!

well done! I find the eliptical hard. I am at 140 heartbeat on level 1!
-
You look stunning! Congratulations
-
Well done that is excellent progress! You must be thrilled!
-
you look stunning - that's absolutely fabulous!

I've had comments on my hair and clothes this week - but no-one's mentioned my weight. I am still chuffed though as a few weeks ago I couldn't wear that particular outfit as I was too big!
-
I'd go for the steak or chicken breast - skip the sauces - only have a few chips - and consider asking for extra salad... Or you could take a night off... and go back on your diet properly from tomorrow...
-
I think if you occasionally eat less it shouldn't matter, if it is regular though perhaps you should eat more... Listen to your body, as long as you are sure that you are not just emotional eating and you are eating nutritious food have more....

Hi - you need to either set your activity level higher to reflect those 15000 steps or you need to eat a lot of your exercise calories on top of your base calories. I have my base calories set low and then add in my exercise and consider whether to eat back the exercise calories... hope that helps
-
if you look at the biggest loser diet as an example - I am very overweight - and they would let me eat nearly 3000 calories a day if I was exercising regularly. Sometimes it really is that you are not eating enough...

I think it is a good idea. I changed my target calories this week as I hadn't realised I'd set my target as 1.5lbs a week weightloss rather than the recommended 1lb per week weightloss. I am hoping now that I have a fighting chance of being closer to my target calories

I started this diet Sunday - and have lost 3lb so far. I have found it much easier to stick to my calorie limits since then and it is good to hear stories of people who have been doing it longer and how they are getting on.
-
I started it on sunday - and the last 2 days I have been much better at keeping close to my calorie goal. Tomorrow is another "fast day" I am planning to eat the same as Sunday although I may add some low calorie fruit in to keep me going at work. I've lost 3lb this week so far and my fat percentage on the scales is…

the horizon film is available on the internet it is called Eat Fast and Live well. I watched it yesterday and started straightaway. I have felt a lot less bloated today and found it easy to stick close to calorie guides today whereas on Saturday I ate nearly 3000 calories! So I am hopeful it could help. A lot of religious…

Well done on your progress. I am looking for more friends too if you want to add me. My highest was around 248 and today I am 238 so a long way to go
