  • Believe me...both of my parents have had gastric bypass surgeries...that is not easy either. But I see your point...not a good place to advertise those.
  • Try Old Navy. I think they have bigger sizes :)
  • I make tacos with very lean meat or spaghetti with the same lean meat or something we call "Rice Hot Dish". Two cups uncooked Minute Rice mixed with one lb lean beef and two cans of (almost) fat free cream of celery soup and add soy sauce to taste. It's yummy! Probably has too much sodium, but not that many cals :) I don't…
  • Yeah, me too...the pics they showed me are hopefully NOT what I look like. I carry more weight than most...I'm just dense, I guess...but those girls were bigger than I am.
  • Congrats! That IS a good feeling, isn't it? I have realized that I used to order a value sized meal at Chick-fil-a...my favorite...and now, I can seriously order a kid's meal and get full.
  • Love it! That's hilarious! I agree with all of the above :) I would say: wife beater, pink (or brightly colored) bra straps sticking out, cut off shorts, and ratted out hair. But I do love the Nascar shirt idea too...maybe cut it off short and cut the sleeves shorter and make the neck hole bigger...think early 90's style…
  • Yep! I hate that, and I know in my head that I shouldn't. But I do it anyway. How is it that we can be so smart and know how to lose weight and still make bad choices like that! Ugh! This is so true...it's just one MEAL, doesn't have to be a whole DAY!
  • My feelings exactly!
  • I sometimes eat tuna salad for breakfast. It even sounds gross to me typing it, but I like it. I'm one of those people that can eat anything at any time of the day. Sometimes, I just snack on pickles in the am...people always ask if I'm pregnant. Nope, I just eat weird food :)
  • You will find a lot of different answers from people on whether or not you should eat back your exercise calories. But I'll tell you one thing...you should definitely be eating more than 819 cals in a day. Go to "Search" in these topics and look up "starvation mode". Hope this helps. And welcome to MFP!
  • I agree. 100%. It is kind of his business, because you are his wife, and what you do reflects on to him. So, if it embarrasses him, why do you insist that you keep doing it? Maybe you should check your motives...Are you doing it to get more attention? I mean, a couple of before and after photos shouldn't be a problem, but…
  • Yes...please just send it to Texas! Not just because it's hot...which it is...105 (everyday for the last 20 days or so), but things are burning up because it's so dry.
  • I'm just a little jealous of all of you  But keep up the good work and reach your goals. I'm 5'6" and I'd just like to be 170, or be in the 100's for that matter
  • Me too. I don't have any good food ideas...just wanted to talk about shoes :)
  • You can do it! This is a great place to start :)
  • Take it slowly and a day at a time. Know that you will make bad choices sometimes, and be willing and determined to get back up and do better the next meal or day. You can do it! My big thing is tracking...if I don't track what I eat, I eat too much. Stay accountable with yourself.
  • Ok, I just want to say that I feel you on this one. I started at 253 back in 2009. I have been off and on...it doesn't really take that long to lose 50 lbs. I started in August of 2009 and lost 35 lbs. Then, I just quit for a while and gained some of it back. I recently started again in January and have lost 35 since then,…
  • Some will say yes and some will say no. I would advise you to click on search in the message boards, and look at the responses when others have asked this same question. That will be helpful. Personally, I eat most of my calories back, but I think it's ok not to. But I only burn about 150 cals or less per day, so it's not…
  • Probably a stupid question, but what is a stone?
  • Non-scale victory :)
  • Ok, this may be a silly question, but do all of you wash your hair after every workout? My hair is pretty dry, so I don't have to wash it every day...But if I sweat a lot in the morning, I would have to wash it every day. I would not want to have to do that. It takes a while to fix it when I wash it. Anyone relate to this?
  • I would say my big butt and thunder thighs, but I really wouldn't trade those to get a beer gut in return :drinker: I'll keep my butt and thighs...thank you
  • It's nice to know that others are using games to workout too. I have thought about getting Just Dance, but haven't yet. I got DDR and the pad doesn't keep the right time or something?? I'm on the beat and it's saying that I'm off. So, I mostly do the wii fit. I just got an accessory for the board...I just used it for the…
  • I have been on Ocella. It's generic for Yaz or Yazmin...I can't remember. But I've lost almost 50 lbs while on it. It's pretty cheap with my insurance, but I don't know if you don't have insurance. I would suggest it. It worked for me, anyway.
  • I use it pretty regularly. I have seen a big difference. I lost about 42 lbs without working out at all, but recently, I've started doing some. I don't do much, but I do about 20-30 mins a day on the wii. My legs are toning up from doing the Free Step and Free Run and I also use 5 lb weights in each hand while I step. I've…

  • So, the watch ones aren't that good? And thanks :)
  • Thanks for the info. I think I may need a HRM. How much do they typically cost? Do I just need to wear it while exercising? I don't need an EXACT calorie count...just a closer estimate than what I'm getting from MFP. I don't want to spend a lot on this...is that possible?
  • I have had huge success with WW. It's a wonderful program! I lost most of my weight from that program...I've only lost 5 lbs on MFP, but I just started. I actually did both for about two weeks to make sure that I really wanted to switch to MFP. I tracked all of my food on both and it was almost exactly the same. WW doesn't…
