  • Hi and Welcome! You will find a lot of great information and support from people!
  • I made this over the weekend. Not only was it very delicious, hearty and helped me feel full but my KIDS LOVED IT! I have a picky eater and she wouldn’t eat it at first but one bite and she loved it. I did have to remove the kidney beans from her bowl but she ate the rest! Thank you for a great recipe!
  • Welcome and we are here to help you! Good luck in your weight loss!
  • What a nice man! He was a guest speaker at a Health Fair I was working at. I was only able to catch about 10 minutes of his presentation but it was a good 10 minutes. He spoke about substitutions in those 10 minutes. For example, using spray butter instead of butter, egg beaters instead of real eggs, extra lean beef…
  • I have never gone white water rafting. I want to so bad! A friend of mine is working on plans for next year. I can't wait. I am looking forward to going because by the time we go I will have lost all he weight I want to lose and be physically stronger.
  • I had a great weekend. I spent three hours kayaking down a river. I found muscles I don't think I have used much. I had a great time and it feels good having sore muscles.
  • Thank you! Happy to be on the Purple Team!]
  • I believe its different for everyone. I have a gain of 1-2 pounds but when I am done I go back to normal weight or a pound less because I am trying to lose one pound each week. I find the week before is my hardest week because I feel hungry and or want something sweet. The week of is hard when it comes to exercise because…
  • LOL yeah it is funny, especially in slow motion. I am glad she is ok but it was still funny. No one told her to move….they all just watched and recorded.
  • Welcome! :flowerforyou:  You can do this! In the cold months try walking in doors. Not sure how big your school is but walking the hallways and doing stairs will help you stay active and you can do it while on your breaks and after school. I’ve started to walk on my breaks and it makes the work day not feel like…
  • That is very frustrating. This will be a good time to “practice” your life style change. These are the types of challenges we will all face and continue to face the rest of our lives. Remember to stay active! If family wants to talk have them join you on a walk! You can do this! I know you can.
  • Sorry to hear about all the stuff you are going though. I feel stressful times is one of the hardest times to stay on track. Its great that you jumped right back on. :flowerforyou: Kindest wishes!
  • I have a fat lump on my back. It is not the normal kind that most people get where they cut them out. Mine is on top of a muscle but close to my spine, it’s about 2 inches long. I was sent to a dermatologist who sent me to plastic surgery where they liposuction it out. Only problem with that is they can’t get all the cells…
  • Sushi has Omega-3 fats which help in keeping your blood sugar levels at a healthy range among being beneficial for your brain. Not sure if there is a correlation with your blood sugar levels and your period. I’m not diabetic but have been known to have my sugar levels drop while on my period. Peanut Butter- There is…
  • My kids are asking me to get a bike. LOL They love to ride. We live in Michigan so to me the riding season is short and not worth the added expense at the moment. If gas prices go much higher then I'll consider it more seriously, or get a horse and buggy!!
  • I love to ride. I haven’t ridden in a long time. I started out with a motocross bike and then went to street. I don’t like the crotch rockets (for myself) I am more of a cruiser kind of gal. I love the sound coming from the pipes! I’ve wanted to get a bike again but it’s not a wise thing for me to do at the moment since my…
  • ...how to stay in the lane I am driving in ....how to have my shopping cart not block the isle ....how to use the self-scan check-out ...turn lights off when I leave a room
  • The size of a person clothes is not really based on their weight. It is based on shape (bone structure) and height, as you can see from the others posts. We all have different shapes and different heights, plus we all hold our weight in different areas. Not to mention, is our weight from fat or muscle.
  • WELCOME! I wish you great luck in reaching your goals! You can do this!:flowerforyou:
  • HA HA HA that is so funny. Tagging. There is a very large rock in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which is painted all the time. It is by all the Frat houses and it is a custom here in Ann Arbor to paint the Rock. Now the city does get a little upset if you paint the sidewalk that is by the Rock.
  • I live in Pittsfield Township.
  • I don't believe that there is a certain cut-off time for dinner. Most of the time we hear things like "no eating after 7or 9pm," it is to help cut down on late-night snacking. Eating dinner late does pose problems: If there's a lot of time between lunch and dinner you might find yourself snacking too much or tending to…
  • Welcome! :flowerforyou: Congrats on the weight loss. I'm new myself (4 days) and really enjoy this site. I feel very motivated and really like how the site is set up. Good luck in achieving your goals!
  • I am new. This site looks very interesting and looks like a lot of people do a good job supporting others. I hope to learn a lot and to remain motivated in reaching my goals. I have been working out for the last 3 months and have not lost one single pound. In fact I have added but my size has not changed so I know what I…
