  • Hi Welcome This really is a great site and the concept is so simple that it makes you wonder why anyone bothers with any fad diets when simple calorie counting will do. This is my second time around, lost nearly 2 stone last time but then had a baby so more or less back to square one but I know I'll do it. Good luck and…
  • Hi Before I had baby I lost about 2lb per week on the 1200 cal per day diet. It was steady weight loss and while I stuck to it the weight stayed off so I am now doing this again now baby is here. I have a treat day though which is Mondays. I don't overeat but I eat what I want and don't count calories (its mainly a carb…
  • Hi all Thanks for the welcome. With regards to the exercise I actually have that one covered as from this week my eldest son has gone from full time to part time nursery therefore I walk up there every afternoon which takes between 40 and 50 mins round trip. That along with pushing the buggy and my eldest standing on a…

  • I had a baby recently so back on the diet train now. I am currently a size 16-18 and would like to get down to a UK size 12 and be around 9st to 9st 7lb (133lb) Good luck all xx
  • Eat healthy yet higher calorie food - Cheese, Nuts, Meat etc... I went through this where I'd have something daft like 600-700 cals left and MFP would tell me off when I completed my diary entry for the day. However, this week I have gone completely the other way and I am going 100 - 1000 over my calories nearly every day…
  • I say weigh, it'll push you harder for the week ahead Terri xx
  • I remember about 5 years ago when I was at my lowest weight and someone said to me, "wow you look great well done" but then followed it up with "don't lose any more though as you are starting to look ill" Gee Thanks! If my weight was too low it would have made more sense but I was right in the middle of my weight range and…
  • I'm sorry you are going through a difficult time. I know a little how you are feeling as I am also an emotional eater however I seem to eat more when I am happy rather than sad. The way I see it is though, if its going to comfort you, one day won't hurt. I'm sure many will disagree and if you can find another way around it…
  • Hi Just bought the hubby a Polar FT4 for fathers day. £69.99 - so doesn't break the bank. Comes with a wrist watch and heart strap. He loves it already. Terri xx
  • OMG - I'd feel like death if thats all I ate. Surely this is just a fad diet and if in any way you mange to maintain it you'll put all the weight back on once you start eating right again. Please follow the plan MFP has given you, it works, you only have to see peoples tickers to know that. Terri xx
  • WD thats awesome - keep up the good work and remember to treat yourself every now and again. Terri xx
  • I weigh every Friday morning just after I get up. Terri xx
  • Hi there Welcome to the site. I'm a newbie too and so glad I joined. You get so much support hear and there is always someone that can answer a question you have. Good luck in your journey! Terri xx
  • Hi You can get one on Argos for all the UK peeps on here. FatMikeSlim has shown me this thread and I'm on the verge of agreeing for us to get one. They are expensive though (around £70 each) so my question is ---can you store more than one profile on them so that the hubby and I could share instead of getting 2?
  • I'm right there with you, we're a bad influence on each other!
  • I steam it or boil it and have it with my hot dinner Terri xx
  • Hi all I took your suggestions on board and went for a 3 mile walk today around the National Watersports Centre with the Hubby and son in the pushchair. 3 Miles in an hour, not bad if I do say so myself. I'll not eat the 228 calories from it though as it may help with the weekend binge! Terri xx
  • Wow, well done you look amazing Terri xx
  • Just a side note, its always best to make you're own pizza, you usually can cut half the calories of a bought one. Terri xx
  • I tend to munch on carrots or celery when I'm needing a low cal fix, also a ice pole or sugar free chewing gum does the trick too. Terri xx
  • I tend to notice every 7lb down or so, while I can definitely see a difference at the moment it hasn't yet affected my clothing size.
  • Hi all I completely agree that you should eat whatever you want and not restrict yourself, if you want a Snickers, have one, as long as you stay within your calories. Terri xx
  • Hi Kraszco1 I do have a Wii Fit and when its hubbys turn to put Oliver in bed I do occasionally jog on the spot for 15 mins but its really boring. I like the step thing but there is only so many times you can do that before that gets boring too. I do have Just Dance 1 & 2 which I like though, does anyone no of any other…
  • I'm here to join you hubby!
  • Hi Suzooz I'd love to do something with him like football or simply running around but he is small (only 23 months) at the moment so anything we would do is not enough to get my heart rate up at present. I try to do things like walk to Morrisons (to buy chocolate, hehe) which is about 10 mins away and I do enjoy walking…
