  • Thank you all for your kind words and suggestions. I will take down the signs. To those of you who asked, yes I am being treated for the PTSD with meds and therapy. I have not been to my therapist for a while because I just want to stop the meds and the therapy. It feels like my life is trapped in these things. I guess…
  • You should probably look at your body fat percent from beginning to where you are right now. Sometimes when we work out we gain muscle depending on the type of exercise. As you know, muscle weighs a lot so the weight may be attributed to that. I find that the body fat percentage is what keeps me going as opposed to the…
  • Sorry about your dad. I am just returning too
  • I'm just coming back myself. I tried eating servings but that didn't work either.
  • Thanks. From what I see, I like jeff's concept also.
  • Hello all: I am 52 years old and have not been running for years. I would like to fulfill my dream of running a marathon. Does anyone know where i can get a good trainer? I live in MD. I am also 35lbs overweight
  • i had one done several years ago and it was worth it. My stomach is still flat and when I work out you see a semi washboard abd. See your doctor to get a thorough assessment and discuss the risk factors and the healing process. Then, you can make an educated decision
  • I would like to purchase this workout series but would like to know if I have to purchase additional equipment like a pull up bar and push up equipment? I have never worked out in my home before but I find I am waking up 3-4 a.m. and would like to do something with that time rather than lying in bed waiting for the time to…
  • I am 52 and need to lose 50lbs. I sure hope there is an over 50 group. It can be so much harder for our age group because everything slows down and makes it a bit more difficult.
  • Very timely information. I can identify with this. I have lost interest in exercising and I think it's because I over did it trying to lose this stubborn weight.
  • I've been away for a while but now I'm back. Has anyone used the p90x workout series?

  • Your accomplishments have been truly amazing and motivating to say the least. Please continue to be an inspiration to those who think it can't happen whether it's on this site or those you come in contact with on a daily basis. I have one question - how do you guys get to put pictures in your post? I'm trying to post to…
  • Take a look at your quote again in your signature and tell yourself you will try and try and try doing this the right way. Restricting your cals is only going to slow down your metabolism and 300/day is really unhealthy. You should also get a second opinion on the blood pressure medication because one high reading does not…
  • I had decided to stop visiting for a while since I wasn't losing any weight and I felt frustrated. But, when I read posts like this, I realize there is a variety of experiences here that we can all learn from that will help us through the difficult times. I looked at your wedding picture and you are a fine young lady. I…
  • Are you an emotional eater? Sometimes it's good to make an honest self assessment and then base upon the answers, we can make changes/adjustments. I am an emotional eater and I find that when I don't feel too good, or if something is bothering me I eat. Since I discovered that, I am able to control my thought process and…
  • I love eggs - i could eat them every day. I love mine poached that way I can tell myself they've been fried. When I feel like splurging I cook down 2 in butter with some turkey bacon/ham. deelicious

  • The quote is awesome and I believe it was originally done by W.E. Dubois. I have it printed out and posted on my office door because it is soooo inspiring. Lady in purple please take heart that you can beat this. Every morning and evening look yourself in the eyes and without blinking say "I DESERVE EVERY GOOD THING IN MY…
  • Please post your thoughts on the other products. I really like the sandwiches. I will definitely be picking up some at Sam's
  • Wow - I got it! Thanks for the info:laugh:
  • I hate to bother anyone, but for today's workout I did a total of 30 sets, 130 reps using 453lbs total but did not get any cals credited to me. Am I doing this incorrect?
  • I tried a skinny cow vanilla sandwich for the first time and it was the most tasteful thing I have tasted. I heard about it, but never tried it before. Anyone tasted any of the other products?
  • I go to the gym 4 x week. I use bodybuilding.com and enter the supersite then I search for workouts. You can find workouts for bulking or muscle toning for however many times per week you like. I find that their workouts are very challenging but gives me what I want. You can also look at the site for the different types of…
  • The best of my summer is coming back this week from the Poconos after having a GREEEAAT time with some GREEEEAAATTT sex with my spouse. It has been a long time since we had a vacation, and we were drifting apart after 18 years of marriage. I honestly did not believe that at age 52 my body could contort in so many different…
  • i edited my post - so, am I on the right track? Do you think I got it:bigsmile:
  • I looked at your posting again and I got it!!! Thanks. What really would be happening is I would add the 700 to the 1840 which would put me at 2540 which is what I would need to maintain my current weight. But, 1200 cals + 700 from exercise = 1900 would still put me at a deficit of 640 the number deficit recommended for me…
  • One more - So since MFP calculates 1200 cals for me and let's say I burn 700 which puts me at eating 1900 cals which is more than my maintenance (1840) will I still lose weight
  • I understand what you're saying. Where does the BMR fit in this
  • Thanks. I visited the site and will watch for the start up Monday
  • I have been reviewing some of the posts by banks and found them very interesting. I still am struggling to understand the BMR/Calorie stuff so please don't be upset with me. Banks could you please take my personal information below and help me to understand how it works because I AM NOT LOSING ANY WEIGHT. I seem to be…
