Hello all:

I am 52 years old and have not been running for years. I would like to fulfill my dream of running a marathon. Does anyone know where i can get a good trainer? I live in MD. I am also 35lbs overweight

  • In Indiana the YMCA has programs every year. We also have organizations that organize runs, usually they provide links to trainers. A local hospital has a good program here. Probably be easy to find on the internet.

If you want to run for a good cause, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society has a program called Team in Training that is supposed to help anyone be able to do a marathon.

Jeff Galloway and Hal Higdon have great advice on training for any kind of run.

I like Jeff's walk run concept... But Hal's ways are practical as well! Good Luck...
