  • No it isn't long term but it does help me eat less and get back on track. I follow the diet/meal plan that Chris Powell wrote a book about.

  • @Merritttu I don't know if that's any different than what I have been doing. I'm still eating what I normally do just not as much. So far I am 4 lbs down so that's exciting for me. I love food. I can eat all day and a lot of it. I have to retrain myself to eat better (not as much) as when I was 18. I used to be super fit…

  • So far I've drink only water and I've been eating healthier and have a calorie deficit. I'll try this route first and see what happens. Thanks everyone for.your comments. They are all encouraging

  • When I did carb cycling before I lost a lot of weight and wasn't eating as much as I do now. I know I've let myself go. Instead of eating one or two slices of pizza I'll eat 5 or 6. I really struggle with food. Carb cycling was easy because I did have to measure out my food but one day out of the week I could eat whatever…

  • I ran face first into my bedroom door because I was yelling at my kids. By the time I turned my head I was nose deep in a wooden door.
  • If anyone is interested I am going to start a private online group on Facebook for accountability and motivation geared towards fitness. If your interested send me a private message.
  • Hello, You can add me as a friend on here if you like. I don't really use MFP as often as I should but I have been involved with an accountability group someone invited me to on facebook. That has been a great help. It just ended but I think another group is going to start soon. I guess until then I should start logging my…

  • Hello, I started insanity two weeks ago. Tomorrow I do my second fit test and I'm looking forward to see my numbers on the scale and measuring tape. This program is starting to get a little easier but Month two looks like it's going to get tough again. I can't wait.
  • Yes Shaun T and I have a love hate relationship as well. Unfortunately he doesn't know that while I'm dying during his workouts that I'm hating him. LOL. I have tried this workout once before and quit around this point. This time I am determined to finish the whole program.
  • I have pictures from before I started and took my measurements. Tomorrow is my fit test so I will be taking new measurements and pics then. I'm excited to see if there are any changes. When I finish the program I'm going to put all of my results up ony profile. Thank you all for the comments.
  • I've had good success not worrying about sugar and focusing on just my sodium and calories. Eggs have carbs and cholesterol. Fruits have Sugar but the sugar in fruit is actually not that bad for you and the fat and cholesterol in eggs won't hurt you either. stay away from just egg whites because the yolk is where all the…
  • when you take the yolk out of an egg you might as well throw it in the garbage because you just threw out all the nutrients anyhow. Eat the yolk. There aren't as many calories in an egg as people might think. Even then you need the nutrients that eggs provide. They are good for protein.
  • when you get to your desired weight you will have to eat at a certain level to maintain that weight. I don't think MFP will have you eat more calories to maintain though. I would suggest maybe starting a strength training program which does require more caloric and protein intake but with muscle gain you will not gain fat.…
  • Hello, I am five weeks lifting heavy doing just compound workouts. no cardio.
  • Thanks everyone. I'm going to continue with the exercise and Then probably start it all over again just to get even toner. I think I started to see a little bit of a difference in my pants so we'll see.

  • I feel like I haven't seen any results. I do the exercises but I keep at the same weight or put on some weight. I haven't noticed much of a difference in clothes. I have gone at it for a couple weeks but i'm wondering if I'm not pushing myself hard enough. I am dripping with sweat when i'm done but i'm starting to feel…

  • i'm not quite sure of the model type. I don't see it anywhere on the scale. all i Know it it's the biggest loser scale. it has a glass looking piece that you stand on and it's matched up to the doctors. i'm pretty sure whatever model you get you can't go wrong if it's biggest loser.
  • my wife bought us the biggest loser scale and it's pretty accurate.
  • Thanks everyone for your comments. I guess seeing that I'm not the only person who has had the issue I feel a little better. I am going to continue to weigh myself just to see where I'm at "roughly" but I will only set one time of the week to record my weight and I will only record that weight in the morning after the…
  • I try to keep my weight in to the morning I just sometimes see the scale and get too curious. I also have a hard time waiting for the one day to weigh in so I end up doing it every day to see if i've actually lost anything. but five lbs seems like a lot to fluctuate. i just hope tomorrow it goes back down.
  • eat more fiber. it helps you feel full longer.
  • I don't know tons of recipes i just use what I think would taste good together and go from there.
