  • Thanks!
  • Easiest thing to do if you don't want tacos again is to freeze it. Then one day when you want to make an excuse that you have no time to cook, you can pop it in the microwave and have a quick healthy meal.
  • Let me clarify. It is not gas or real pain. It is like a hunger pain. Like you haven't eaten all day. Once I eat again, it goes away.
  • I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Every time I do mess with it, it jacks up all of my recommended calorie stuff.
  • Ya, the BMI tools all say I am overweight at 180. They all recommend around 160 for a max BMI of 25. I am going to continue on to the 160. And the compliments from them all and the smaller shorts I had to buy (my others would have come off in the lake) are motivation for the next month!
  • I did try and change my starting weight to 205, which is actually what it was when I started my diet and exercise regime and before I found MFP. I wanted my scale to reflect my true weight loss since beginning my journey.
  • Not today I haven't and it is telling me to eat 1970 calories instead of the 1860.
  • My take, spread your calories out throughout the day to speed up your metabolism. Also, you may not be loosing weight, but you are losing fat as evidenced by your clothes fitting better. Your exercise is burning the fat and creating/building muscle which may be masking your pounds lost. Focus on how you feel, not the…
  • I think the same way sometimes about not exercising. Getting started is the hardest part. The easiest way for me to think about it is that "I don't want to be that guy anymore". Also, when it helps to remember that if I cheat or want to skip an exercise day, that all of this is for nothing if I am going to just cave over…
  • Kind of what I figured the answer would be. I travel to very remote ares mainly (that is where my customers are) and the majority of those eating establishments are mom and pop homestyle type places. Not any nutritional info from these folks lol.

  • I have P90X but have never done it. My wife actually watches just a couple of the DVD's and does those exercises. I want to give it a try. But it doesn't look structured so I have no clue where to start. There are a ton of DVD's in the pack. How do I know which ones to do which days????
  • I drink it plain. I am drinking about a gallon and a half. Its all I drink all day and all night other than maybe once a week drinking a cup of skim milk.
  • psulemon - Thanks for sharing. Here is where I get confused about all of this. You guys say to replenish the calories I burn. Everything I have ever read or been told is to lose weight you have to expend more calories than you take in. Man I am lost I guess.
  • Mark, MFP says I needed 1845 calories per day. And, I am eating substantially more than the 1000 calories I started on. I am floating around 1500 to 2000 for the last week. You mention replcaing my exercise calories. That is where I get so confused. Why did I just work my butt of mountain biking for the last hour to take…
  • I am ashamed to admit, but most of that weight was more than likely from stopping the soda and alcohol (which I thoroughly enjoyed but don't want to be dead at 40 years old) As for the docs recommendations, he basically said get rid of everything that says high fructose corn syrup. Get rid of most of the beef. And, when…
  • Maybe a nutritionist, but maybe not a psychologist.......unless you ask my wife  . It's not so much that I don't want to eat, it is that I am paranoid I am making the wrong food choices. I know what is good for me, it's getting the balance of those foods down so that I can lose weight and be getting what I need in…
