  • I've just signed up to do the turkey trot too. It will be my first race.
  • I've been looking for something to do on the days I don't run. Count me in! I will be doing it 3-4 times a week. It will be great to be held accountable. I've done it once before but only completed the first two levels.
  • Completed week 7 day 2. I found it a little easier than day 1 so I must be improving. I was a little faster but not much. Day 3 won't be till Monday now. I'm think of repeating the whole program again once I've finished because I'm so slow, and try to do it faster. Has anyone else done this ? Does it work? If not how do I…
  • I completed week 6 day 3 today. On Wednesday I had trouble running the 10 minutes and in fact couldn't finish the second 10 minutes of running. I decided to move on to day 3 anyway. I'm so glad I did. I can't believe I ran for 22 minutes!!! It was slow, but I don't care, I did it!! We did a full 3.1 miles it took 49…
  • ^^This^^
  • I know exactly how you feel. 6 weeks ago, I started C25k. I could barely run the 60 seconds for week one. Now I'm on week 6, and I can't believe in such a short space if time I can run for 20 mins. Check out the app. You'll be amazed what you can do!!
  • I went vegan two years ago after watching the movie " Forks over Knives". Best decision of my life. To date I've lost 69lbs and counting. Within a few weeks of making the changes, my BP dropped and consistently stayed around 110/65, I no longer needed asthma medication and my skin issues all cleared. I no longer have ANY…
  • I'mI happy dancing right now....lol!! I've just completed the dreaded week 5 day 3. I can't believe I ran for 20 minutes! 5 weeks ago I couldn't even run 60 seconds. So happy right now !! What made it even more of an achievement was it was very hot and humid, and I still was able to complete it.:))
  • I have been stuck in the 170,s for over 6 months. Like you I was eating 1200 calories. Three weeks ago I did a lot of reading and decided to increase my calories. The first week I went to 1300, the second week 1400, and now I eating 1500-1600. I plan on increasing again to 1700, but while I appear to be losing again I'm…
  • Well said! Running in Florida is hard work!! I'll be outside another month or so, and then onto the treadmill. The humidity is too much for me!!
  • Posted my story today, but here are just the pictures! Still a work in progress. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1005597-is-this-really-me-with-pics
  • Thanks, for all the encouraging comments!
  • No, I was at an animal sanctuary.
  • Phew, the pictures are there now!
  • Ok, how do I resize the picture?
  • I love reading all the updates. Congratulations to you all. I completed week 5 day 2. I can't believe I ran for 8 minutes. Now onto the dreaded day 3, 20 minutes run......I may be able to do it in my dreams.....lol!
  • I've done week 4 day 3, three times and still couldn't do it. I think I hit a mental block so I decided to move on. So glad I did. I completed week 5 day 1 today with ease!! I even went for longer and did some faster paced runs! Feeling so good right now !!! I'm a little fazed by day 2, but I will give it my best on…
  • I too started C25k about 5 weeks ago. I also live in FL, and am the opposite to you. I love running outside , but the heat will soon send me indoors. I'm dreading having to continue on the treadmill, but I know the heat will be too much in a few more weeks:(( My first 5k is not till November so I'll have plenty of time to…
  • I repeated Week 4 day 3 and still can't complete the last 2 minutes jogging. I will repeat it again on Tuesday, and then plan to move on to week 5. I ran my fastest pace to date. Maybe if I'd slowed down I could have completed it. I will slow down on Tuesday. I feel so good doing this and am seeing other changes in my…
  • I love hummus on baked potato instead of sour cream.....yum!
  • I'm 41. The first year the weight came off very steadily. This last year has been VERY slow, and for the last 6 months has stopped completely!! I had been eating 1200-1300 calories. I started couch to 5k 4 weeks ago and increased my calories to 1400-1550 to see if I can get it moving again. Nothing moving yet , but I will…
  • I did week 4 day 1 last Friday. Like you I needed to walk some of it. I did day 2 today, and was very close to completing it. I will be doing day 3 on Thursday, and hope to fully complete it. I was tempted to go back to week 3, but am glad I didn't.
  • I did week 4 day 2 today. I almost completed it. I just had to walk the last minute on the final jog. I hope to finish it completely on Thursday! It was very hot and humid, so that didn't help.
  • I did week 4 day 1 today. I went out really early so it wouldn't be too hot. I didn't manage to do all the running. I did the first set, but had to walk the 3 mins on the second set. I did both of the 5 minute jogs, so I'm pleased with that. I won't be out again till Tuesday now. We have we've not seen in 10 years staying…
  • It took me 52 weeks to lose 52lbs. I mostly did walking and some JM 30 day shred 4x week.
  • Thanks for the encouragement. I'm going to stick with it. I'm loving doing the program. Let hope the results will soon follow!
  • Thanks, maybe I'm just expecting to much too soon. I just thought it would start moving because I've never pushed myself so hard. My diet is very clean, so nothing I can change there.
  • Yes, I've done measurements, and nothing has changed yet.
  • My TDEE is 1700s. Im eating -15-20% below that. I eat a plant based diet. Lots of vegetables, beans, hummus, fruit, oats, rice etc. The 69lbs I've lost came off very steadily over an year and a half.
