  • I gained close to 40 lbs in two months while on zoloft. I stopped taking it purely because of the weight gain. My weight gain also stopped when I stopped taking it.
  • Thanks for all of the replies. This has been a very lonely time for me. I have no idea how this will turn out, so I want to take control of some of the other things in my life. Thanks for the helpful suggestions and for letting me know that i'm not alone!
  • I am definitely finding that I don't lose lbs without tweaking my eating too. I can see and feel differences in my muscles, but my weight has stayed the same because of my terrible eating. Sometimes it's easier to change one thing at a time, and now that I feel I'm comfortable with my fitness routine (and I realize that…
  • I'm out. My back has been killing me after I do these, I think it's because of my terrible form. I do want to finish this at some point, but i think I'm going to have to restart the challenge on my own when I am stronger and more physically fit so that I don't hurt myself. Thanks for introducing me to the challenge and…
  • I was worried I'd get ripped on for this, but I know the people who can manage it just don't understand those of us who can't. I know there are others out there like us!
  • To me, moderation is just a dream. I like to think I can eat my favorite foods in moderation, and sometimes I even do it. Then I go back later and scarf down the rest of whatever it was that I thought I had power over. Of course, most of the time I just chow down on it all at once. I understand the concept of moderation, I…
  • Great job!!! And I did have to giggle because NKOTB totally takes me back to 6th grade when I thought I might die if I didn't meet (and marry) Joey McIntyre. :)
  • FANTASTIC!!!
  • I am going to be doing both starting next week. I'm hoping i won't die! If you need a rest day, take a rest day. There is no law saying that you HAVE to do 30 day shred in 30 days. Listen to your body and if it needs rest, then do it.
  • I'm so glad I decided to read this! Congrats on your progress, and thanks for the inspiration!
  • Great post!!! It is so hard for me to get out of my own head sometimes. Keep up the good work!!!
  • This might seem like a stupid question, but do you peel the apple first?
  • I'm so glad I read this, I needed a laugh!
  • Red lentil soup. I know I'm probably the only idiot who eats soup in the middle of summer, but I love it! And I have been craving this forever. I'll have a salad too, and probably some fruit for dessert. Yum!
  • I'm in too. I've really done much better the past two weeks, but I need to stay away from it altogether. Thanks for the challenge!
  • I am an insomniac also but I have not found any long term solutions since this got bad in the past year. My sleep cycles are terrible and very irregular. Even exercising is not helping. I don't have any suggestions for you because nothing has worked for me as of yet, but I definitely feel your pain. I will keep an eye on…
  • Awesome!!! I'll have to check out some of those links. BJPCraig-I've made seitan a couple of times, some of my attempts came out better than others. Are you making the kind that's cooked in broth or the kind that's rolled up and baked in the oven? I hope you'll share the recipe if it's good! chelraeb-I'm in the same boat…
  • Mine is actually 160. I have a large frame and usually carry a lot of muscle, so I will never be light, even if I manage to look like I am. When I was in my late teens, I was in the best shape of my adult life and I weighed 145. I still had great curves too, which I never want to give up. I figure that since I've had two…
  • I will jump on board too. I have been thinking about starting this again, but was scared to. I guess it's time to put myself outside of my comfort zone!!!
  • Just finished day one, I overslept big time today so didn't go out this morning. Now my husband is at work till 11pm and I'm here with the little ones so I ran in my kitchen (no treadmill, but I have a long kitchen). I know it sounds weird, but it's better than nothing. I don't want to put it off another day and take the…
  • It's a running program called Couch to 5K or c25k for short. Basically, it helps you to go from being a couch potato to running a 5k in 9 weeks. I believe the website is coolrunning.com if you want to check it out.
  • I am a friendly veg, feel free to add me if you would like. I recently had my one year veg-iversary which was a pretty awesome milestone in my mind. I still struggle with my eating because there are so many foods out there that are not real healthy but ARE vegetarian. Anyway, I'm sure we can help each other!
  • I let my boys jump on my bed. I know it may sound silly, but it's a great way to let them be active and expend energy. It can be done at any time of day and in any weather. My boys are (almost) 2 and 4, and we have a king size bed so there's plenty of room. They jump and bounce and somersault and dance and do whatever…
  • There are many, many, many Indian recipes that use chick peas. Can you give any other details that would help people help you? Maybe list other ingredients that were in there, flavors, was it spicy or sweeter?
  • I definitely think that comfortable clothing is a factor in weight gain. I gained a bunch of weight when my husband and I were dating because we spent all of our time in elastic waist band pj pants so it wasn't uncomfortable to just stuff our faces. Even now, as soon as I'm home from anywhere, I'm in stretchy clothing. I…
  • Awesome site! Made me realize that the goal weight I had chosen is probably right for me, there are a lot of women who have the same body type as me and look how I want to look. Very cool!
  • I would love to be able to try it at some point, but I know right now it would just look bad. I promised myself that when I get to goal weight, I'll chop all my hair off, just because I can. Whether it will look good or not at that point is another story. I have really thick hair, but it's really wavy so I'd have to get a…
  • You definitely don't have to stop cooking delicious food because you want to cook healthy food. When I became vegetarian last year, I had no idea what to eat. I spent a lot of time using google to search for healthy vegetarian recipes. What started out as "what the heck can I eat" became a 3 inch binder full of recipes,…
  • Too many of these apply to me...
