Ornament them in your hair like tinsel to a Douglas Fir.

Or keester them. It works for drug mules.

That might work.. but then where would the ipod go?

Like a star adorning the crown of the tree...or utilize the flesh pocket.

Don't bring them at all! You'll choke if you're sucking on one of those while running!!

For something that small I would use my shoe bag. It just velcros behind the laces of my shoe, I keep my keys in there on short runs. On runs over 5 miles I use a fanny pack with water bottle.

I am rather fond of the mule suggestion. Then if I run too much and am tired I can ride them home.

Wait, which mule? The pack mule or the drug mule?

I use a Camlebak when running. I have a 1.5 liter version and it has enough pockets for keys, credit card and whatever small things I need.
Or, if you are rich, you can always just pay someone to run along side you, unwrap and feed you the cough drops.

Make a map, like a Marauder's Map, of designated places around your route wherein you have hidden cough drops.
Kind of like treasure hunting, but you know where the treasure is already.
Go for like 100 or more places. That way, there's always one there.

Yep, a sport belt or fanny pack works fine. Pretty good selection of shorts with pockets to choose from also.
