  • Hubby and I both just bought Specialized. I got a Vita and he got a Sirrus. He test rode a giant and the Specialized and liked it better. Go to a good bike store (or more than one) and do some test rides to find out what fits you best :-)

  • Hi Amy and welcome to the rest of your life :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: I started this journey at 353 lbs a little over 400 days ago. The pieces of advise I want to offer you are to take it slow and don't try to do everything at one time. Start with an easy walk.. around the block, around your house, just…
  • You can do whatever you set your mind to. I've got 100 left and as you can see... I've lost 100 :-)
  • Aug 28 :-)
  • ^^^ This.. I haven't tried it yet but read it in some of the reviews on Amazon. Said to just tuck it in on the left side and it works just as good  I don't have the problem of it showing since my arms are HUGE and there is no way I'm wearing short sleeves :grumble:
  • I use circuit training but the MFP calories burned is WAY to high for the 20 minutes so I use the #'s from my Body Media :-)
  • I have the same as Steph.. if you like #'s you will love it, but you do have to be honest about your consumption. It definitely makes me really how much I sit on my butt at work all day and then have to work out double hard to make up for it.
  • blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, peaches.. any kind of fruit that you like. Rather than granola I put grape nuts in mine for a little crunch  I also use a bit of splenda because Fage with just fruit is not sweet enough for this girl :blushing:
  • The ones we make take a little longer than 90 seconds but they are really good.. we use Flatouts and bake them in the oven. YUMMY !
  • Love mine ! Hubby and I both try to do either games, dance, or something at least twice a week.
  • No secret... Eat less than I burn :-) I have not done anything fancy, I still eat the same foods (well most of them anyway) and have just cut down the amount. I log EVERYTHING, I weigh EVERYTHING for portion sizes. I know lots of people have done clean eating but for me that would just not work... Sorry.. no secrets here…
  • When I started I was 350 lbs... I didn't even start with exercising a lot because I had a lot of weight to carry around and I had no energy. After about a month of eating differently, logging, watching calories, I think started adding just plain old fashion walking.. for me (I hated exercise) it was all I could muster.…
  • I have one, but have never had anything done to it. It used to be painful but it hasn't hurt in a couple months so I have just left it alone. My Sister in law had one on the back of her hand and had it removed but her's came back... as long as mine doesn't hurt I'm leaving it alone :-)
  • I talked to one of the girls I work with about this (she had it done)... she said that she wished she had waited until she was done with her weight loss instead of getting it done before she has completed her loss. I also read an article last night that said it can take as much as 2 years for the skin to get to it's final…
  • 43 (almost 44) no kids just 2 dogs and 3 cats. Hubby and I both love it this way.
  • I eat this pretty much every morning http://www.cookingwithjax.com/2011/01/apple-pie-breakfast.html Sundays I like to have 2 eggo waffles (lower calorie ones) topped with a blended mixture of apple pie filling (found one that has splenda for lower calories) and reduced calorie syrup.
  • This !! You look younger ! Congrats !
  • I have mine every morning for breakfast with berries and a little bit of Grape Nuts :-) oh and sometimes for a late night snack with PB2, apple chunks and Grape Nuts or with dried cranberries (no PB2).
  • We saw a show the other day and they were using "Bear Spray" (not on dogs, but on bears and showed it being sprayed on a guy) and it's tons more effective than pepper spray. I'm not trying to be mean.. but no matter what bread of dog if it is coming at me, I would want to have the best thing possible to make sure I don't…

  • I have 2 wonderful mutts.. Beagle/Jack Russel mix and Border Collie/Golden Retriever mix :-)
  • I think it all depends on how much you have to lose. My family didn't notice until I had lost quite a bit of weight but I started out with a lot to lose  I didn't share with any of the family that I was working on losing weight so it was a blind study.
  • I think it's awesome you posted this. You will help a lot of people :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I love mine. I have such fat arms that I don't wear short sleeves so I don't have concern about anyone seeing it.. but that's just me ! They have a special running on their site of $99 with 1 year free subscription to the website.
  • I agree I love mine and it seems to be very accurate. It tells me I sleep a lot less than I think I do :grumble:
