  • wow ilovecoffee that's dedicated!I work five days a week and I only do half hour of cardio and circuits a day!Good for you
  • hey moonlight:happy: I agree it is possible to overtrain and one or two rest days a week are good.I do think tho that doctors are not always reliable when it comes to fitness and diet. For example a doctor recently told someone to go on the cabbage soup diet! Which is NOT healthy.Listen to your body and maybe do a…
  • Hi,I am from Somerset U.K.Nice to meet you and all the best on your journey:flowerforyou:
  • ooh ooh ooh and another one that I like is "my fitness coach cardio workouts" It's all boxing and the avatars look like Manga characters!
  • Yup hun,It's a game called "your shape" I believe the price has dropped a lot since it came out.The camera is included and it is simple touse.Wierd to see yourself on t.v!sorry for brief reply.Am typing this on my phone while walking!
  • I log it as circuit training 20mins that comes out at 181 cals for me but I don't worry too much about the numbers as I have a thyroid problem so who knows what I really burn!I eat all my calories as I find if I don't eat enough I am miserable.I am still losing at the mo so I am trying not to get too precise yet for my…
  • I might try level 2 tommorrow!
  • By the way depending on what book you read,HRM,you have etc the numbers ALWAYS come out different:laugh:
  • Hey CHILLAX!Look at your results and don't worry. If you are exercising then you are doing all you can.The calorie burn numbers are guidlines and the are not 100% accurate.A person with more muscle may burn more cals for instance even if they are the same height or weight.we are ALL different.I have a poorly thyroid so my…
  • Ok I am not a natural athelete BUT I know that I have to keep fit. 1)I want to look better. This will be more achievable with exercise as diet alone produces poor results. 2)I want a good quality of life and not to be a hunched up immobile old lady. 3)It makes me less stressed.....it's true exercise releases happy hormones.…
  • Your right!I never thought of the musle growing! It's obvious really....I store a lot of my weight in a little pooch on the lower abs but I know there is good musle under there!Best keep digging for it with the cardio shovel lol!
  • How long does the pleasure of overeating REALLY last.As for stress, there is science behind that relief that food brings. When we eat carbs our body releases serotonin which has a calming effect.LUCKILY exercise also releases that same hormone. My food issues got me in therapy and if I can stop anyone else going through it I…
  • From a different angle, have you eaten enough?Going under your calorie allowance and exercising more causes your body to hold onto it's fat reserves, especially if you have dieted before.I recommend upping your cals a tiny bit.Your metabolism will be fooled into thinking that the "famine" is over.
  • Seriously try a wii.I have a selection of games and they do appeal to my game playing addictive personality!Or get a short workout like Jillian Michaels 30 day shred.Only twenty mins.I could EASILY sit in front of the T.V but I remind myself how much I want to be lighter and twenty to thirty mins a day is better than…
  • Yes my sweet. You are NOT alone.I have eaten till I am in PAIN and puking.I can see two reasons why I did this. 1:My issues with food stemmed from a horrible childhood.Food scarce and controlled. 2:Starving myself to lose weight and then going crazy and eating HUGE amounts! I am sure I was not actully enjoying most of the…
  • Well I'm sad now cause I am a fan but I live in the UK!We had our own version of Biggest Loser but I watched the USA version on Sky and then got 30 day shred and Master your metabolism!I adore her, especially as she has a thyroid issue(me too).I wish she would get her toned butt here and teach us Brits a thing or two!
  • sorry to hear that Alexis:ohwell: I hope you found something that does it for you!Mammabear I have it on good authority from my fella that my rear area is firmer ha ha!I think he is right.Anyway go for it,you have nothing to lose(except the obvious:laugh: )!
  • well, this time last year I was 18lbs lighter!I am not pleased with myself  BUT I am glad I am doing something about it.I hope we can all find the fighter in ourselves to get where we want to be!We are not the only ones, even celebrities yo yo!Lets make this year the last time we have got to lose weight. Here's to health…
  • I agree:devil:
  • ha ha!This is another non girly one so don't worry! In fact one of the trainers is a big ex marine fella with a shaved head and tatoos!
  • Oh yes Billy and I go back a long way! Also check out Davina Macall.I have all of hers but Superbody is the best!
  • If you are pushed for exercise time I recommend Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVD.It only takes 20 mins a day and it really is tough. It is not a girly dancey one but has HARD exericises.I got mine from Amazon and I am seeing results after five days. You need dumbells and a mat and very little space to work in.
  • Hi Stu:flowerforyou: I know how you feel about putting it back on!I got to target a year ago and then I was poorly and got back all the weight:mad: But am back with a vengance!I am from the UK too so welcome fellow Brit!
  • I am a Brit,from the Southwest of England.Somerset to be precise!:glasses:
  • Thanks Charlotte!Ididn't know that.
  • Yes Marii,I say go for it!I am a working mum, busy busy busy and 20 mins is not too hard to find.I find exercise makes me think clearly so it may help with your studies!Good luck!
  • Good luck Jordan!
  • Glad you noticed a difference too Rachel,I thought it was wishful thinking on my part.I don't know when I will move up to level 2 but It's good to have a dvd that has goals to reach for instead of doing the same every day!Brit DVDs are a bit wimpy all in all!
  • I love it!It kicks butt and it's only 20 mins!I am in the uk and I ordered mine from Amazon but I heard someone say it is in walmart?Anyway GET IT!By the way you are already hot!lol
  • My goodness! What a godess,do you even recognise yourself? Lots of love from Becky in the UK xx:flowerforyou:
