I was diagnosed when I was 31. I was told how rare it was for a female to be diagnosed so young! I have been doing maintenance phlebotomies now only once every three months which is way better than the biweekly ones at the beginning.

I would have to agree...you can't target weight loss but you can target where you tone/build muscle. Squats, lunges, anything really that you can do to target the butt :)

I love the EA Active 2 workout and I love that it comes with the motion sensors and heart rate monitor! I haven't been using it recently (doing the 30ds dvd) but when I am done with that I will go back to the game for awhile.

Also new to the group, but not MFP or a weight loss journey. I am currently in Whetstone, which is fairly close to Sierra Vista (Southeast of Tucson, nearly to Mexico). Moved out here from Florida and before that I grew up in PA. It is great out here though because there are so many great outdoor activities to participate…

My husband and I are in the Sierra Vista area and love to get out and hike the canyons around here. We regularly get out to Brown Canyon (favorite place for mt bikers too) but I am anxious to get back to Ramsey canyon. Last time I hiked there was around my highest weight and I want to see what it's like now. Also I am an…

I find diet is the biggest factor for me. Exercise and staying active seems to come much more naturally as I have dropped the weight. Also when it comes to eating out I always look up the menu and nutritional info online before even going. That way I know exactly what I'm going to have and how much damage it will do to my…

Thanks so much, I am so to help provide motivation since I get so much back from this site. I could never have come this far without the help of MFP

I plan on trying the 30ds again starting on Sunday. I made it all the way through level 2 and even a couple days into level 3 and dropped out. I am determined to make it the whole way through this time. I will say that I tend to follow anita when it comes to the lunges because of knee issues, but I am going to try and push…

We just really try to stick to our calorie/protein/fat/carb goals as the first step. Without that everything else falls off track. He works out at the gym for at least 30 pretty much 5 days a week and rides road or mountain bike as much as he can. I do ride road bike, but because of weather, travel, and illness I have been…

I was also the kid with the big cheeks (freckled too) and I hated it. This is my before (around 220lbs or maybe higher) and during (178lbs)

I agree completely with that! I have been told that I am obsessive about it too. Once someone know that you are working on a lifestyle change that is all they see, and they do act differently around you when it comes to eating together or even other activities. One of my coworkers and I had lunch at the same time one day…

I'm happy to share. It made sense to me too when I read!

I have to agree that this is great! You said it perfectly!

I started here on MFP at 213, but with my highest known weight at 231. I am currently 171 and so far no loose or sagging skin, but that could also be because I have lost it gradually. I have heard more about skin being an issue with people who lost the weight very fast or who were over 100lbs over weight. My husband has…
