This is our dog, Rosie. We only brought her home last Wednesday. I got her from a shelter on Monday, dropped her off to be spayed that afternoon, and picked her up Wednesday. She is settling in well. She is about 6 months old, according to the vet, and she is a terrier mix. She is my son's first dog, and they adore each other already. This pic was taken right after a walk in the park, and she was hot...0 -

This is the day before we got our pup Angus from a local rescue organization:
And, this was just a couple of days ago at 5 months old. He is so patient with our 2 year old:
We also have two cats Jasmine and Milky. Jasmine is about 10 years old. We got her from a friend who rescued her from the shelter about 5 years ago. She is definitely the queen of the house. Milky just showed up on our doorstep on my birthday 2-1/2 years ago, and she never left. (will post pics of them later)0 -

These are my dogs. They are both rescue dogs from a puppy mill. We got them 4 years ago, when they were around 4 years old. They had lived their entire lives together, in a filthy cage and were in pretty bad shape. As you can see, they are still together, but they are happy and healthy now!
They still have little 'quirks' from being neglected and abused for so long. They are both deathly afraid of any loud noise. Needless to say, New Year's Eve and the 4th of July are especially traumatic at our house. They are afraid to step on grass, they had never been able to walk on it before we got them. With coaxing, they will come with us on the grass, but prefer to be on something more 'solid'.
