I love the success stories thread and lurk around here a lot. It is just so awesome to see so many inspiring stories all in one space! Today I get to add another of my own, which is an amazing feeling.
Friday my hubby and I went up to old navy because neither of us have winter clothes that fit (for the right reason at least). Now I know Old Navy tends to be a little generous with their sizing but never since before high school (probably never altogether) was I ever able to fit in a size 14 comfortably, so I went in thinking that since I am at a weight I have never seen that I would probably be between a 12-14. Well, I went to the clearance rack first (I don't like paying much for clothes that I hopefully can only expect to wear for one season, because next winter I hope to be maintaining at my final goal) and the only had size 12 there, no 14. Well, I took them in the dressing room and they fit! Not only did they fit, but they were comfortable, almost loose even! So I went back to the rack, no hoping to see how the 10s fit. No 10s on the rack there, so now feeling encouraged I began to explore more of the store. I found 2 styles of jeans on sale and decided to grab both of them in a 10 and a 12 just to compare, Well, the one pair I could get the 10s on, button, and zipped, but didn't feel as comfortable in them as the 12, but the others the 10 was perfect! I was so happy to run around in my size 10 pants yesterday!
Now today I have a scale victory too. I got on the scale today and saw 175.0! I started MFP at 213, but with a highest known weight of 231! Yikes! I am so excited that I was able to update my signature to show another of my mini-goals has been met!
Sorry this has been so long, but I just couldn't help it! I had to share

Congrats To You!
I know exactly how you feel about the weight since High School.
I myself am 4' 6" and when I started MFP I was 170 with highest weight of 173. As of this morning I am 128.7 lbs and a size 8/10 depending on the brand and style.
So Congrats again. You deserve to feel good about yourself.0 -

Wow what a great NSV! I've never shopped in Old Navy, so its good to know as I move from Lane Bryant territory that there's another place to shop. I also see tons of Old Navy jeans at the charity shop so I'll check them out.0

Great job!
(We're just about progress-twins, too! haha! Except my shape must be very different -- I also started at 230+, and I am also just about 177-178 now. I'm on the cusp of Old Navy 16-14, whereas you are riding the line from 12-10. Interesting!!)0 -
