If you're losing inches, I'm confused by why you're concerned?
-
I've been veg for about 5 years and I disagree. I like the soy products MORE. The taste/textures are similar but you don't get the greasy grossness...

I put my nose back when I broke it. This scenario is a little different. Of course there really isn't anything a doctor can do either. He'd just tell you to not fall asleep for X amount of hours. I have a little experience in this. (thanks a lot skateboarding...)

Yeah after viewing your list, you're already there... I'd cut back on some of the snacks, and some of the cheeses. That way you can get semi-decent quality meals and just have leftovers. Leftovers are always a good thing.
-
I'm big on picking 4-6 exercises, doing 4-6 sets of each for 6-10 reps. But I'm also doing heavy weight to build mass. So lighter weight, more reps, that should work for you.
-
Nope. You're fine. As long as you're not exponentially over or you're exercising, no worries.
-
That's exactly what I'm saying.

If you need a splurge day to stay sane, you aren't viewing it as a lifestyle change, and just view it as a diet. I don't care if it's 1800 or 180 calories. There is nothing good about Taco Bell... Or fast food period. Cook your own tacos with lean beef or ground turkey. It'll taste better, be better for you and you won't…

If you're exercising hard enough to maintain what you have, you won't have to worry. I'm eating 1210 cals a day, but workout 2 hours a day, 6 days a week. I take my 180g of protein a day, and other supplements to maintain my muscle and don't really have to worry about getting skinny fat.

I regret not pursuing sports and getting lazy/overweight. Granted half of that was due to injury so not really my bad... Oh well.

It would be a waste of time for HIM because he's probably already really fit from martial arts. The couch potato to average joe types would benefit from walking and a calorie deficit initially. Eventually though, you'll want to turn it into a power walk, then a jog, then a sprint, then into something like HIIT. It's all a…

Chicken isn't really fatty, and it's not that hard to trim the fat off before you prepare it. But I'm having a hard time believing that you're allergic to EVERY fruit, veggie or nut...

Count me in, why not? I'm on full throttle right now and hope I can continue with my progress from Oct.

Starting weight: 187.5 10/8 - 185.5 10/15 - 183.5 10/22 - 180.5 10/29 - 176.5 Hit 11lbs!
-
It's a good start and a great attitude to have. Keep it up!

LOTS of protein (there's mass building formulas on bodybuilding.com that are upwards of 1k calories per serving). Creatine. And there's loads of other supplements that can help boost your muscle gains.
-
Only solution: get a HRM... There's not near enough details here. Weight, bodyfat %, what exercises, heart rate, etc. We wouldn't be able to tell you something like that.

Flat stomachs are made in the kitchen. Abs are built with resistance. You can have a flat tummy but not really have any abs showing if the muscles aren't developed. I hate the 'abs are made in the kitchen' saying... You need both a healthy, lean diet to trim the fat off and you need to work your abs with resistance…

Starting weight: 187.5 10/8 - 185.5 10/15 - 183.5 10/22 - 180.5 10/29 - Looking forward to this as I'm already down another 2lbs! 4 more days!
-
Weird I just ranted about this 3 or 4 days ago.

Not going to lie, I agree with this guy. ^

Most of that (aside from joint/chest/shoulder measurements) sound more typical of ectomorphs. Mesomorphs can get fat. Yes they can lose it easy enough and gain muscle fairly easily, but mesomorphs just store it more evenly rather than getting all pear shaped like endomorphs.
-
It's really important to remember, that though a lot of you might think you are an endomorph, you need to experiment more with diet and exercise to know for certain. I used to think I was of a more endomorphic nature because I was loosing slowly and thought where I was storing fat was very much like an endomorph. But once…

I'm going to chime in again... Try it all, eat them back, eat half back, don't eat them back, in whatever order. Just make sure you do it for 3 weeks at a time to give your body a chance to adjust to the change. If you do it a week at a time, you're not giving your body enough time to acclimate and you'll probably…
-
It's relative to the person. Lots do eat them back and still see results. I don't. I plateau. So I don't eat them back anymore and have been averaging 2-3lbs lost a week.

From what I've seen/read on bodybuilding.com, everyone seems to bulk until they're happy over the winter, then cut during the summer to get their newly gained muscles super lean. So I'd say just go until you're happy where you're at.
-
From what I'm seeing, there's a lot of soups and breads. Simple carbs and sodium. You may be having an issue retaining water.
-
Ah wasn't paying attention to that part.
-
More like 8% and below.

Absolutely not. I consider it a change to better myself.
