Regrets
So we all have to live with regrets, in some cases we can make up for them and in some cases we cant. What do you most regret in life?
For me I'd say i regret not chasing after my dreams when i was younger, i really just floated thru life and didnt push to get the things i wanted accomplished. some of those dreams i can forget (ie the NBA) and others are attainable but just delayed.

I regret not going to college right after high school....now I know I should go, but have no desire to.0

My regret is that I didn't minor in photography when I was in college but instead double majored in something that I'm not even using. Now it's really hard to find time to go back to school but I haven't given up yet. One class a year!0

I regret not pursuing sports and getting lazy/overweight. Granted half of that was due to injury so not really my bad... Oh well.0

About 18 months ago I slipped a disc in my back, it's taken a long time to get over it and I still have bad back pain now.
I know that anyone can slip a disc and back pain can also affect anyone but when you are overweight it is more likely that this will happen.
I regret not realising sooner that I needed to lose weight and have a healthier lifestyle and to also be more active.
I wish I'd worked this out 2 years ago and maybe I could have prevented all the pain I've been through.
Other than that I don't really have any regrets :bigsmile:0 -
I do not regret anything. In fact, I don't even believe in having regrets. :flowerforyou:0

One thing and one thing only.
That I ever picked up a ciggarette. That's all.
Everything else, to have it changed might change where I am in my life right now. Not a risk I'd be willing to take.0 -
I regret having such a long engagement, if I hadn't waited the extra time my mom would have still been here to see me get married0

I made lots of mistakes, but if I hadn't made them, I wouldn't be where I am today. I've learned a lot from my mistakes, and I trust that God has used everything in my life for good. God can repair any damage I may have caused in the lives of my family members and loved ones, and I pray He will do that. Theoretically, changing my past would change my present. I'm a happy woman, and I wouldn't want to do that!0

gee thanks for posting this topic, I was already bummed about not loosing anything for two weeks and just maintainging, now I get to think about my biggest regret.
Biggest regret= not having kids, and it's seldom I don't think about it. I think I would have made an awesome mother.0 -
So many things I would love to change if given the chance, but try not to look at them as regrets. I look at them as life lessons, of growing and learning not to be so ignorant the next time.....hopefully in some cases there won't be a second time Some of the weight-related ones are the fact that I never took a before pic in my bikini, and i never took measurements. I really wish I could get those back!!0

I try not to have regrets because I believe that all the choices I have made have made me who I am today, and I quite like that person.
I do regret that I didn't take Art at A Level though. I still can't work out why I didn't, everyone always told me I was so talented and I loved it. Maybe I'd be studying fashion design instead of fashion marketing now if I had. Not that I don't love the course I'm doing but I always wonder what if.
I also regret the way things ended between me and my ex, that is definitely my biggest regret by far.0 -
I regret inviting my in-laws to my wedding...0

Not staying in the Army for 20 years.0

I wouldn't do it myself, after having 4 kids, but one of my best friends adopted twins when she was 52. There are always foster kids out there who need good mothering, too. It's not too late!0 -
Regrets? I've had a few, but then again too few to mention. I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway. And more, much more than this... I did it my way.0

My one regret that I actually think about from time to time still is when I saw my old neighbor with a dog that wasn't his in his backyard. He had a BB gun and he was trying to shoot at the dog. I stopped him of course and made sure he let the dog go, but I really regret not ****ing kicking his GD @ss and making his life hell while I was a teenager and could get away with it!! Literally at this moment I regret not beating his face in and shoving that BB gun where the sun doesn't shine and pulling the trigger.0

You do not have to live with regrets. Look at who you are today, accept, and be proud for it. Life is what you make of it. Enjoy it0

Mine is the opposite! I regret going to college right after high school. I wasn't ready and I chose my college on a whim. I had a series of very bad years after that.
BUT! You live and learn. My college experience now is 100% different and better.0 -
Still younger, and work my hardest to not regret anything (major). Obviously we all make mistakes, and I regret those, but as for missed opportunities, if its a reasonable possibility, and I can afford it, ill do it, regardless what others think. Such as buying a bike. My mother was furious, but I know if I didnt do it now, Id regret it forever0

Exactly! Besides I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for all the mistakes I made!0 -
My biggest regret:
When I was in high school, I got an invitation to the Indiana Academy which was a residential high school with very rigorous academics. The students in this school get accepted to colleges like Yale and Harvard, and I choose not to go. Why did I choose not to go? One of my friends talked me out of it. Where is that friend in my life now? We stopped being friends the very next year. I'm pretty sure she was just jealous of me...0 -
Walking away from my brother when i seen he was drunk 9 years ago in JUne, he was found dead the next day, i think if only i had spoken to him x0

I regret not following my instinct and staying with my high school boy friend when we left for college. My instinct said to break up with him and part friends - but he wanted to try an LDR. I put WAY more into it and then he dumped me for a girl he met at his school, and broke my heart. I know that I the things I learned from the break up have shaped me, both for the good and the bad, into the person I am today. But, I would have much rather parted ways before college and remained friends - I don't think I would have become that much different than I am now. And I wouldn't have lost touch with a person I was close with for almost 10 years (our break up was ugly).
But - w/out that experience, I wouldn't have taken 2 years of being single to get to know myself and what I want out of life - which led me down the path to the wonderful man I am now married too. On top of that, he found what he wanted in the woman he married - they are happy and have a new baby boy! Things work out the way they are supposed to, I guess.0 -
That I didnt go to college right out of high school and now I am in college in my 30's with the final goal being to obtain my Nursing Degree.
I also regret not seeing the early signs of my Mom's illness and thinking that if I had she might still be with us..0 -
