  • First, deepest condolences on the loss of your Dad. He would be very proud of what you have achieved, and you are indeed very inspiring! Your determination and grit are awe inspiring as well as motivational for me. I'm just returning to the trough as it were after a few years away. My weight was very stable for a LONG time…
  • What a great job you did! That smile sort of says it all, doesn't it? Now the real fun begins, eh? You got this! I know exactly what you mean about sharing. I don't like anyone to even know if things are going badly or good for me with my weight - I'd rather hope nobody is thinking about it at all as it's not really their…
  • I kept saying I would walk... but I feel very strange walking around doing nothing. Well I found a solution! A little neighborhood newspaper. My first day it took 4 hours and like to have half killed me, but I've stuck with it going on 3 weeks now and I got it down to 90 minutes, so not bad. I'm tired and/or sore the days…
  • It was always obvious my whole life who the favorites where in my family, and it wasn't me. I've had a lifetime to adjust to it. I think it was in the movie "Prince of Tides" where the mother took each of her kids aside and told each one that they were her favorite and that it was a big secret and they should never tell.…
  • I would be better off just not sampling my husband's bread, LOL! Thanks for checking out the site and noticing there are lots of choices tho, I will look into them, although my husband really just loves the heavy vienna, so that could be the issue. It would be a lot worse if I made home made, I LOVE my food home made from…
  • Really do not like Boston accents. Oddly enough (?) a German accent melts me!
  • It's binary. You want to smoke or you don't. You don't have to go for perfection. If you want to screw up a few times in the first few months - so what. Every day YOU decide and nobody else. It's a decision but once you decide, it's really not that hard unless you let it be. Don't let the drama of it get to be part of who…
  • There are some great treadmill workouts and walkthroughs on youtube if you search for them. I try to keep a few of my favorites listed at http://mentadd.com/jog if you prefer a select list to start, but they have ones specifically geared to beginning, so I'd for sure check those out. My favorites have music that keeps you…
  • I like to use shrimp for protein as it's low in fat and most of my other favorite protein sources are also fat sources, so it's a nice easy one on salads, etc. But in a pinch I'd also use whey protein as you can make a delicious smoothie in no time as well and there are so many great flavors too.
  • LOL! I think the guesses on me were like 25 years off! I get that in person too... even from medical professionals standing right in front of me, so a bit unfair that I played, but I see this game all the time and never play, so I figured I was allowed one turn. 28
  • The closest I've come to catfishing related to MFP was when I logged a salad I ate at Red Robin and found out it exceeded my daily goals!

  • LOL! When I got to your after pic I was like NO WAY (in fact I really said it out loud too) and then I had to scroll up and down a few times. UNBELIEVABLE!
  • I don't like temptations and certain "less than clean" foods are TRIGGER foods for me, and for good reason - many of them have flavor enhancers that are specifically designed to trigger cravings so people eat more and more of it. That's why I like "clean" foods because they have to at least stand on their own merits of…
  • I'm DeedeeVI on geocaching.com if anyone wants to send a friend request on there. I definitely log it as it can get quite challenging around here, scrambling around the beaches or in heavily forested areas or up the side of a mountain, or kayaking out to ones also... In the database there is hiking, walking, walking…
  • Totally making these - thanks!
  • You look like you turned from your Aunt into your niece! Fantastic transformation! Very inspirational :)
  • That is wonderful. Starting small and avoiding injury is a HUGE thing to learn to do right and consistently. I have screwed up that one a million times and ended up layed up for months with injury, so I commend you in doing it properly! As for running, with my genetic heart condition, I don't think I've ever run 5 min but…
  • I was on a hiatus when this wonderful anniversary rolled around so I missed it, but Cindy, you are a wonder and a force to be reckoned with and fat hiding in the state of California, around the country and the planet and even in the far reaches of the known universe is scared and crying just thinking about you. Continued…
  • Fantastic results, you have done such a great job, I'm so impressed with you! You look just terrific, and happy!
  • Fantastic accomplishment! I came within 7 lbs of it a couple of years ago. It's a BIG DEAL... I will be super excited when I get there... For some reason about halfway to goal (7 lbs from exiting obese) things just stopped working for me. I am still trying to figure out why and I ended up quitting for a few months - but…
  • Fantastic couple... 100 times better with your best friend and husband doing it with you I bet! Lovely and wonderful. So happy for you, really! xoxo Deedee
  • OK I figured out how to answer this question better... CHEESECAKE! Awesome rich cheesecake with strawberry topping.
  • I'll have to also go with last night's dinner. Actually it turned into this morning's breakfast as well since I didn't gain an ounce from eating it last night! "Fettuccine Roma" a little something I made up yesterday after getting a "craving" - HEAVEN! Left over pork loin chop cut up into little cubes A few slices of 5…
  • I love to mix a spoon or two of it into granola cereal and top the whole thing off with a handful of frozen grapes. So good! Second best - on a spoon :)
  • I also eat frozen banana "ice cream" I cut up the banana and freeze it and then put it in the blender with a couple of spoons of peanut butter or almond butter and it's delicious, sometimes I even have it in a cone. It's real food and no dodgy chemicals or ingredients I can't pronounce, so I prefer it.
  • Looks really fun. I used to love love love to hoop as a kid and bought another one in my 30s and then left it during a move... I think I need to go buy myself a new hoop!!! I miss it. Voted for you -good luck, and well done. You look super cute in the finalist video too, nice job! xo Deedee Vancouver Island
  • You are ADORABLE and your story was very touching. You're actually a fantastic writer.
  • You both look adorable! When you only have 25 to lose, it's not easy! And your amazing results are just awe inspiring! I know you get to your goals, you have proven you know how and are willing to make it a priority and get it DONE. Amazing results, thanks so much for posting and letting those of us who need inspiration to…
