  • Yeah this is happening on my phone and my main page won't even load on the desktop version.
  • It's probably "at most" half your height. But it's certainly a good goal if you're above that! :)
  • I'm trying to balance myself around 1200. So on days that I know I'm faced with eating more (like today is payday, there will probably be a couple wines involved), I exercise, so that I can eat what I enjoy. If I stuck with the 1200 I ate yesterday but burned 400 doing Zumba, my net cals would only be 800. That's not good!…
  • This is backwards. The reason you don't "see" it, and still think you're fat is that you have probably been really rough on yourself for a long time that you aren't quite sure how to treat yourself right and see yourself in a positive way. Losing weight is not going to make you suddenly confident and accepting of your…
  • Hey hey, don't be lonely! I've had a rough month or so. Dealing with a lot of BS at work, and then my grandma died, and my partner's granddad died and then more (really really bad) BS at work and I just gave up. It was really all I could do to not break down. I put some weight back on, but now it's coming off again.…
  • Actually.... My friend in the UK and I have started a blog about it. We are both contributing. She said one day that she was now "doing Paul McKenna" and I was thinking wooo woooo is he hot?? ha ha So our blog is: http://doingpaulmckenna.blogspot.com/ Only a couple entries so far, but I think I'll blog again today about…
  • I did something dramatic a few days ago. I stopped counting calories. eep! Yes, that's right, I've given up what lost me the 7kgs on Feb March because it stopped working. I was still eating when I wasn't hungry, because I was obsessed with the calorie count number. SW: 93.3 kg last week 86.4 CW: 85.9 down half a kilo from…
  • It's raining everywhere! :( I would say rest and put all your energy into getting well. Eat lotsa veggies and fruit (and soup!) and kick that illness!! SW: 93.3 kg last week 86.7 CW: 86.4 down 300g from last week! I need to stop eating so much junk on the weekend. I drop weight all week and then it flies upwards on Sat-Sun…
  • Watties chunky soups are on special (2 for $4) at NW this month and the ravioli is like 380 cals for the whole massive can (I gobbled that thing down). Good and filling lunch, and cheap! Carbs = yum!!
  • SW: 93.3 CW: 86.7 (i think that's up 100 grams from last week, but it was an effort to get it back down here!!) Goal: hot! *meow* Snacks: yoghurt! The Meadowfresh Live Lite Vanilla range is AWESOME. ummm... I eat dried apricots a bit. veggie sticks and hummus? I need lunch idea for when I'm at work. Tired of the 5Ss…
  • I've been so ill for a week and a half and totally missed yesterday's weigh-in!! SW: 93.3kg CW: 86.6kg (down 400g from last week) GW: umm...like 63 or something, but I'm aiming at 70 at the moment! I'm amazed that I lost anything at all! I have been so sick, even lost my voice completely for 3 days!! Ate terribly bad…
  • I haven't had fish and chips in ages. I wanted something a little greasy and my workmate said fish and chips and I went too. He ate his and was fine, but another female and I ate ours and even today felt gross from it! Good result was that it wrecked my appetite last night! And I lost another 400g. I don't restrict any…
  • SW: 93.3 kg CW: 87 kg (down .4 from last Wednesday!) I glimpsed the 86's yesterday, but I had been sick, so laying on my couch like a lump. :) Been eating healthier since 9 Feb this year. Now I have a week to work off the nasty fish n chips I ate today (it was really gross actually!)
  • Buying smaller sizes to shrink into is silly because when you get smaller and fit them, you don't want to wear those clothes that you've had for ages (even if you never could fit them), you'll want BRAND NEW clothes! For now, get belts, get things taken in, sell big stuff and use that money for in between clothes. And then…
  • I don't mind which day of the week we do, but you re so right, it'll be cool to do it at the same time as other people and also in kgs! I'm an American so I could think in pounds, but I've been in NZ for 8 years so I am all about kgs, celsius, and kilometres now."
  • Sure! Monday weigh in might encourage me to stay in line during the weekend!
  • What about BodyAttack? That nearly killed me once, I swear!
  • Isn't Body Combat an aerobics class with a kickboxing feel to it? I would say list it under Aerobics, High Impact.
  • "Executive Stress" B-Complex
  • "headaches, stinging eyes, feeling dizzy, numb toes" Add to that what you said about being "on edge" and I would make sure your B-complex vitamin has adequate B5 (Pantothenic Acid) in it (they often don't!). Broccoli, corn, mushroom, yoghurt, sunflower seeds...all good sources of B5, but even though I eat lots of those…
  • WW will set you at a very low point. Be realistic. Pick the half pound per week goal here and you will still probably lose more than that!! When I did WW, I was on 20 points, which is about 1000 cals, which is FAR too low for me.
  • Compared to other calorie counting sites, this one has heaps of Aus/NZ brands. I'll add some too, we'll get a good database of them!
  • Why don't you register at The Money Pig and note that instead of saying "bring cash!" ha ha. :) Then they can give towards a special goal (holidays, renovations, down payment on something...)
  • Stress is not good for you in any way. Here's something to read about cortisol, which is the "stress hormone." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cortisol Scary stuff!!
  • Weigh it! I just weighed what I reckon is a small carrot and it was 125g! Ha! So yeah, best idea is to weigh stuff and not rely on other people's opinions on size. :)
