  • I'm 5ft 7, 180lbs, I workout 1-3 days a week (more if I can squeeze it in) but I'm a mom of 4 and always on the go. I'm tired all the time and I know some of that is kids that don't sleep through the night, but even with a decent nights rest I still don't have the energy I think I should. Thanks so much everyone for your…
  • What does your doctor recommend? Will the weight gained during pregnancy put your/baby's health at risk? Would you have a higher chance of diabetes at your current weight? With my last child (I have 4) my Dr. suggested I try to loose about 15 pounds before I got pregnant again for that reason. All that being said, I think…
  • Has your mother considered a Montessori program? There are aspects of a child's day that is spent participating with others yet the curriculum portion of the day is the child learning on their own direction with teachers there to help & guide. It tends to be a little more relaxed in the environment and can be an…

  • Same here! You can also season the chicken in different ways to help add variety to your salads (herbed, southwest, asian...)
  • There are so many things you can do to just add a little bit of oomph to your day! When you park your car - go the the far end of the lot and 'power' walk to the building. When you're doing dishes or cooking - toe raises to work your calves. Do push-ups against the wall or tricep dips on a chair. Jumping jacks are amazing!…
  • Thanks so much for posting this!!! I've been considering Zumba too. A lot of my friends are doing it in the gym and loving it, but as a Mom of 4 (11, 8, 3, 2) I don't have time for a gym membership and have to get my workouts when ever I can squeeze them in. What video did you order and from which site? Maybe we can start…
  • bump! I'm really interested to see the replies. I have a really high arch and with or without shoes, my feet always hurt. Good luck to you!
  • Not sure but I do know that muscle weighs more than fat and if you're building muscles then your weight could go up. I think that at this stage, I'd be looking at body measurements and not the scale. Measure yourself once a week and see if there is a difference. Hope this helps and keep up the great job working…

  • P.S. I have read that muscle fatigue after several days of intense exercise can be attributed to an insufficient amount of protein! I was having the same problem until I started drinking a protein shake after every work out. It has helped tremendously! Also eating a little something 30-45 minutes before you exercise can…
  • It's awesome that you're getting such amazing results! I am on D10L2 and I have to tell you that level 2 was a little harder for me because my upper body strength was so weak. But, by the end of L2, I am now able to do REAL push ups (not many and they are a little pathetic, but I can do them). The best part of the whole…
  • Unbelievable! The sensor button on MFP has taken out half of the man's last name! It's D*ckerman
  • http://www.simplyshredded.com/the-ultimate-female-training-guide.html I saw this web sight on here a few days ago, maybe it would help! Also, exerciseTV.com may have some info on how to start. I get this through cable and love some of the routines. The guy I like the most is Roger ****erman. Good luck!

  • Working on 30DS right now (half way through level 2) and although it's hard, its effective! I've noticed a huge improvement in my stamina and strength. I've also lost about 13 inches allover with it. My weight hasn't gone down significantly but I attribute some of that to muscle gain. Good luck!
