  • I drink them after strength training to help repair the muscles. I struggle to get my protein through food so need to..Plus I am a little bit addicted to them! I just have mine with almond milk and raw cacao powder and its tastes soooo good! Not nasty at all, I use whey isolate as I think Im slightly lactose intolerant and…
  • Ooh there are quite a few of us here aren't there! I could do with some more British pals :-) Anybody can add me if they like. I'm on every day and happy to support!
  • Sending request, im on every day :-)
  • Thank you! With weighted squats, could I do these with the dumbells or will this not have much of an effect?
  • Oh yes thank you, my legs aren't too bad strength wise, I do squats and lunges several times a week and I run so I have built up fairly good muscles in my legs, Its just my upper body that is a bit feeble!!
  • Ha this is very true! I currently do home DVD's which are starting to get easier so maybe I should push myself to try these! I'll see how I go with the heavier weights first and maybe look at these in the New Year!
  • Thanks all, that is definitely where I am going wrong then! I'll have to invest in some adjustable dumbells then so i can increase the weight. I have looked at P90x and Chalean Extreme but they both scare me a bit!!
  • Thanks Hendrix, that’s really helpful. My kettlebell set only goes up to 8KG so maybe an adjustable dumbell set will be the way to go..Damn they had one on Amazon black Friday yesterday, I should have got that!! So I just do the exercises with a certain weight for a while then when that starts to get comfortable increase…
  • Ah well done you, Great achievement! I am half way through this now and at the moment 5k constant running looks impossible to me but I know it will happen! You must feel great, good luck for your half marathon training :-)
  • Ah glad you are feeling a bit better, that’s good, don’t let one person get you down! Yes a treadmill is good, you’ll probably find it easier than running outside but it’s a good way to get you into it.. slowing down is a good tip! That was my problem at first I was trying to go to fast but now sometimes I look like I’m…
  • Hi! Any exercise is better than none! High impact aerobics is good and I have heard amazing things about kettlebells (Ive just bought some!) Walking is great too! Running is good, Im sure many people will suggest Couch to 5k..I do my own version of this, walk for a couple of minutes, run for a couple of minutes..I get a…

  • Yep I have the exact same thing! Low blood pressure but high HR when exercising! When I run it goes up to 186 sometimes.. It would probably go higher but I slow down when it gets that high.. Ive gone from doing no exercise for years to a fair bit now so I dont know if the high HR is just because I am (Or was!) very unfit…

  • Hiya Yep, white wine is my downfall too! I just cant seem to give it up but I reckon it might be slowing my weight loss down! My plan is to cut it out for a month but I don't know if this is going to happen or not!! Its just too nice :-)
  • MFP set mine at 1200..I think it’s too low if you are exercising yes.. I’ve changed mine to 1400 but it should probably be more but there are health reasons I sometimes struggle eat more than that.. Calculating your BMR then deducting 500 calories is a pretty good indication I think. Doing that, mine should be around 1600…
  • Ah thank you! Yes it’s a great feeling! Cant wait to go on a big shopping spree hehe! Yeah I should get the tape measure out really! Im a bit rubbish with doing that though..I never know where to measure my waist, if its where your jeans sit or the smallest part, I get confused ha!! Do you think you will be? You’ve been so…
