I synced my Fitbit with MFP also but I only use MFP to log my food. When I compare calories burned with my Polar 4 they seem a lot closer on Fitbit. Remember that Fitbit is estimating your total calories burned throughout the day - not just from exercise. I tend to use that number when figuring out how many calories to eat…

Are you wearing a Heart Rate Monitor? You may be grossly overestimating the # of calories burned when exercising. Don't count on the numbers on the machines. They are usually high. If I forget my HRM when I work out I use only 2/3 of the calories on the machines. Just a thought.

"work out - usually an hour or so before bed" - would lead one to believe you work out for an hour. I was going to reply that a 900 calorie burn in an hour was unrealistic too. :flowerforyou:

I have FB page - my husband goes on it to play games. Once in a while if he sees something interesting when he logs on he checks it out. That's all he does on it. Doesn't bother me - doesn't bother him. Why is is creepy or odd? Neither of us has anything to hide from the other. I don't get what the big deal is????

I get up at 4:30 - I'm at the gym before 4:45. Work out an hour back home - relax with coffee for 1/2 hr before I hit the shower. Out the door by 7:15 - 1/2 hr commute to be at work with e-mail checked before 8am. "How" do you do it???? You JUST DO IT!!!

Every time I've had this problem I've washed the strap. Salt from your sweat will keep the electrode area from making a tight fit. Also - make sure you have the electrode WET (not damp) when you put it on to ensure a close connection.

Since everyone will burn calories at a different rate these are estimates only. According to my Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) they aren't even close.

Would there be any problem with fasting from noon meal to noon meal instead of evening meal to evening meal. I don't think I would be successful if I didn't eat during the day at work.

Don't quite get why this is guy/girl thing. I'm a 54 yr old female and always hold the door open for someone nearby. I also ALWAYS acknowledge and thank someone that opens/holds a door for me. Does your friend think this is an entitlement or does she see it as a curtesy? Does she open/hold doors for others?

I'm 53. I've been on MFP since July 2011. I've lost 55 lbs since May 2011. Hit goal the end of February. I broke my foot July 4th weekend this year (after training for and running a half-marathon the beginning of May) and was so afraid that I would gain all the weight back. I still cannot do any weight bearing exercises…

Thanks - I don't have access to a pool so swimming is out. I do have a follow up appt with my dr on Friday. Good idea to check with her and get some ideas. I just really don't want to go backwards. And I am watching my food like a hawk!!!
