Hey! I am 5'11". Feel free to add me. I've been on a 10 year rollercoaster of weight loss. At my highest I was 325. I am at 230 at present. My goal as of now, is to hit 190. Then I will reassess my goals!

Mmmmm. Nope. I am a born and raised die hard northeasterner. I HATE heat. HATE it. We went to Georgia in June, and I thought it may as well be hell as weather goes. Awful. I would much rather 25 degrees than 80--any day of the week!

Not everyone has a day with no obligations and can just sit back and enjoy it. Some people have very busy, active lifestyles and don't curl up on the couch. Why do some northeasterners not appreciate today's snow? Hmmmm. It's a heavy, wet snow. Trees still have leaves. That is a recipe for widespread power outtages. The…

If you are asking if going occasionally is going to kill your diet efforts--no, it's not. The occasional treat or splurge is not only okay, but I would encourage it. We should never feel anything is off limits for the rest of our lives, or even until we reach goals. I personally think the food quality of McD's is pretty…

Whole wheat pasta is not the devil. First--this is a restaurant. So you can pretty much divide that in 3 to determine what the cals are per portion. Now, if you go and eat the whole big thing, then you do not have a good grip on restaurant portions or you don't care. LOL. Second--Pesto typically packs a solid punch of…

I am having a hard time wrapping my head around how my body can be starving--when I have consumed 1200 cals and do not feel hungry.

Protesting undoubtedly sends a message and is a harmless way to raise awareness. It is also a right.

I hear you and feel your pain. That said, I drink about 1-2 diet sodas a day and I feel no guilt about it. It has no calories, fills my belly and makes me happy. I don't believe a lot of the hype about aspartame and sorbitol anyway, but even if I did, the small amount in my two sodas per my body weight, compared to the…

Big question: Did you put your WEIGHT into the machine for calculation? If you get on a machine and do not put your weight in, they usually assume the weight of a 150 pound person. Naturally, if you weigh more than that, you burn more calories than that. Every time you get on the machine, put in your stats. MFP bases…

I think the idea that they have "next to no calories" only applies if your daily intake goal is like 3000 cals a day. Fruit, most definitely has calories and should definitely be on your food diary. A banana is close to 100 calories. Even a smallish to medium sized apple is 60 plus calories. 100 here, 60 there--definitely…

Bumping for more input--and thank you for the info so far. I did my circuit today--and feel I went at it pretty hard. In lieu of the single step thing, I ran in place at a good pace. I did all the machines. The circuit reccomends 12 reps per machine during the circuit--I did more like 24-28 reps on most of the machines. I…

What baffles me a bit is this notion of having to "account" for or be held "accountable for" money you spend. My husband and I are married adults. We have joint accounts. I do not need to tell him or ask him to spend money. LOL. I spend what I need and want. He does the same. If I want to get my nails done, I go get them…

Wow. This is appalling to me. Sorry--but to be in your twenties and think about divorce--I'd say do not get married. Then again, we do not view divorce as an option and act accordingly. Luckily, I come from a long line of happily married people--all of whom had several JOINT accounts. To me, keeping money seperate--is not…

Wow. I am always surprised that couples split money. That seems so weird and foreign to me. My husband and I have a few accounts and they are all OUR accounts. There is no such thing in our house as your money and my money, I do not think I could marry a man who proposed such an idea, honestly.

Maybe my question is unclear. Even if I do not eat the meat--I am assuming that because it will simmer with the veggies all day--that it will ADD calories to the other ingredients. My issue is how many?
-
THat won't work since I am not eating any of the meat.

Mine says I can not wait to rock this jacket. It's hot and stylish.

Replying so I can come back and try the Mexican chicken.

Not a big aspartame fan,but the occasional diet soda with it does not faze me at all. I've tried Stevia...it's bitter...just can not do it. I tried a few times to wean myself in that direction. I love natural raw honey and Agave...but that comes with the calories that I do not want, I like my coffee sweetened. I use…

I think this is individual. I believe some people NEED the cheat day--so they do not feel deprived and know that in another 7 days...they can have what they desire again. Others can not handle a cheat day and fall off long term. Do what works for you. When I started losing weight and lost a good deal YEARS ago, I had one…
