Took me 2 years (on and off program). Losing too fast decreases the chances you will keep it off. It's a lifestyle change - it took a long time for me to put on this weight and I realize it's going to take a long time to get it off.

I eat after. If I eat before, I'll get sick while working out.

Mine has been shrinking too! I've been training for a 10 K for the past 7 weeks (for Monday) and I've noticed. Great job!
-
Sorry but I forgot to mention that incorporating weights should help too. Best of luck!

Cardio Cardio Cardio! Spinning is a great idea! But, I would switch it up. Maybe spin twice a week and run twice for at least 20-30 mins Eat lean meats and less foods that are processed - au natural! But, make sure you eat at least 1200 a day.

Thanks for the responses. I have upped my calorie intake several times, but going back onto program doesn't change my weight like I'd like it to. ahah I at least want a few lbs to come off a month if I'm working this hard. I've been training for a 10K. I'm someone who used to not be able to run more than a mile, but have…

I've heard good things about Mederma

When I do start to run outdoors, I'll be sure to make it a gradual transition. Thank you so much for the nice words.

I believe it's understood also that ppl who lose weight gradually are more apt to keep the weight off. I also know that it gets harder to lose weight - meaning the weight comes off slower - as your weight lessens. I think that's the miscommunication listed in posts above (or not). Anyways....If it's really a concern, I…

1 lb = 3500 calories 5lbs = 17500 calories **1500 - 2000 calories per lb of muscle **0 calories in a lb of water Below is a response I read elsewhere when someone asked how to lose 10lbs/wk: "Most people who lose like 10 pounds in one week are mostly losing water and muscle. It is very difficult to lose 5 pounds of fat in…

I'll be doing the one in So Cal on 4/2 Been strength training and upped my running to 3 miles (at 34 mins right now)

I love a challenge! My current BMI is 26.0. Lets do this!

Sorry I forgot to mention how I'm training. I'm NOT a runner, so I decided to build up my stamina by running in intervals. I could barely run a mile. I would walk for 5 mins on the treadmil then run for 5 minutes. I would do this for as long as I could. For about 40 mins. I would up the number of minutes I ran after a…

I can definetly relate. Tempations are everywhere. What helps me is I ask myself "What do I want more? That cheeseburger OR to be healthy?" The answer is usually pretty clear. Another thing I would do is try and figure out why you're starving. Is it a certain time of day? Is something around you making you focus on being…

Just purchased abottle off amazon. I got it SOLEY for the energy and will give it a shot. This must be one of the first threads I've ever seen where the majority of people had some positive input on a pill.

I would eat something to give you fuel before a morning workout - preferably a banana

Thumbs up for the Agave Nectar

I have a very limited amount left today too :( Sooo..I'm going to hit the gym for an hour spin class and when I go home, I'm going to have a tasty egg white omelete w/mushrooms, tomato and onion in half of a wheat pita. :)

I get a little embarassed sometimes, but not too often. It normally has to do with using a new machine and not wanting for it to be obvious that I'm using it wrong. At that time, I'll try and watch someone use it first then I'll hop on. If i start to get shy for any other reason I just say "forget it" - I want my work to…

I would switch up your workout (for example, if I do one class for a long time, my body gets used to it so I start doing another workout class instead) to break through a plateu

Different scales provide different results (unfortunately)..unelss they are precisly and frequently tared. I just use the same scale/ same placement / same day of the week / same time of day. A pound lost is a pound lost. I think that's the most important. fyi, my doc noticed my weight loss and I told him how much I lost.…

confession: I had taco bell last week (gave in). Result: It did WORK on my digestive system. So not worth it.
