  • I would love to explore more trails around the city this summer! Last summer I was in a bad accident, and didn't get to do much in the way of activities. So trails, running, picnics in the park, swimming, all that stuff!
  • I just started week 6 of my reset and I'm fighting the urge to start my cut. I weighed in yesterday and I'm up another .6 of a pound. First week I went up 3 pounds and since then I've been yo-yo-ing with a total of 5 pounds up. How close to maintaining would you consider to be ready to cut? I'm really enjoying eating more…
  • Did you just bring the book with you? I think I might get a couple training sessions just to make sure my form is right to start off with and find my way around. I just have to face my fears I think! I challenged myself this month and went to a group fitness class which TERRIFIES ME. I know I can do it - I just have to…
  • WOW! I know what a difference heavy lifting can make, but I'm always so surprised and amazed when I see it compared side by side. Congratulations! I'm trying to get up the nerve to start NROLFW after reading the book, but I get so nervous thinking about going to the gym by myself and just gettin' in there with everyone…
  • Too bad it's sold out. :(
  • He can leave. No excuses. Excuses usually lead to convincing, and convincing usually leads to staying. And staying usually leads to a repeat of alllll of this once you think everything is back to normal..
  • Terwillegar Rec. I started going there for the salt water pool after I was put on light activity only by my doctor for a while. Now I do the gym and pool and it's SO worth the drive from the West end. :)
  • So glad you did it! It's crazy how many things we stop ourselves from doing because we are afraid! Way to go!
  • I made this tonight with extra lean turkey, and added a bit of light cheddar to it, and it was AMAZING. I had friends over for dinner and they were quite impressed. :)
  • The way I've found it to be is this: For example, lets say you were eating 1200. And you plateaued. Great. So the obvious answer is to increase your calories - which you've done. From what I've gathered in my experience is if you increase, your body will treat that as a "reset". So for more success you SHOULD do a full…
  • This is a map of where I was talking about. I usually will follow the road to where that yellow star is, but as you can see, there is a walking path from wayyyyy up by the community league that joins into it. There's usually a few people parked on the street where I go from, and that's typically where the "trail-ish" stuff…
  • Looks so yummy! I'll have to try it :)
  • Would he come to my gym and work with me there? I need some help in the lifting department and I would LOVE to help out someone on their own, rather than pay a big company more of my hard earned dollars.
  • There's a patch of trails over in Wolf Willow I go to a lot, close to the river valley. I go down 170th towards Callingwood, left at the plaza with the Sorrentino's and the Starbucks, and pretty much follow that road until you drive by a trail entrance. There's some trails and two sets of stairs on either side. I do the…
  • Awesome! I have a similar situation with a leather jacket I bought when in University when I was in super shape. Those goal garments make for great NSV's!
  • You are super gorgeous! You can see such a big difference. Great job!
  • I haven't calculated it in a while, but last year when I did it was close to 600 for my boyfriend and myself - yeesh! I have to crack down though - the bf doesn't work in the winter so money gets tight. I also make tips at my work so I buy lunch out of my tips sometimes. It doesn't feel so bad that way. I just went in on a…
  • Vodka water with lime :) Generally stay away with any drinks with a "name". They tend to pack a lot of sugar and calories. If you're a beer person (which I think I remember seeing you drink beer), then usually coors. Or Canadian 67. But most Coors are about 100 cal per beer.
  • It was so weird... I finally caved, and told her that because we had only met him once before, we weren't terribly comfortable having just him stay at our house. At which point Im told he's staying with a family friend so not to worry. I wonder what happened. I am usually the kind of person that will do anything to help…
  • I used to never log condiments because I didn't think they were substantial enough! Boy, was I wrong, or lying to myself! Luckily I hate mayo and most salad dressings - it saves me a ton of grief!
  • I was just thinking the same thing! I have a hard time feeling motivated when half of my friends have abandoned the journey with me! Feel free to add me. :)
  • I JUST started this myself! I felt super nervous about it but I've been eating at/just above bmr and eating back my exercise calories. My first week I gained 1.4 pounds, and I just weighed myself this morning after another week and two days, and surprise!!! Down 1.6 pounds! I'm beginning to believe what everyone has been…
  • My general rule of thumb is to get a litre of water in before lunchtime, at the very least. I have a busy work day, so in between clients I can scoot to the staff room and drink some water. It keeps me going on crazy crazy days!
  • I spent the last couple days looking at a couple different things. The very few basics that I looked at regarding intermittent fasting seem interesting, but I'm not sure how long I could keep that up for. My work schedule varies a lot, and when/how much I eat varies depending how busy I am at work. Where I struggle is when…
  • I almost always ensure my net is minimum 1200. I am a hairstylist and its tough some days getting in my calories because I don't have time to eat! That's why I was famous for binge eating at night. I just feel nervous to chance losing progress if it doesn't work well for me to increase calories. Especially when at 930 at…
  • I love love love quiche...but I hate cottage cheese. I wonder if I would like this.
